My entry to the Cinnamon Cup Coffee contest # 3. Coffee with milk, with bread.

Hello dear hiveans and friends from Cinnamon Cup Coffee. This is my first time posting on this community. I could not resist it because, although I am not an expert on the subject of coffee, I can't live without it.
It makes me a little ashamed to admit it so openly, but it is a reality. I have tried to be more moderate, not to depend so much on it, especially because here, in my country, it has become a luxury to be able to enjoy coffee for its high prices.
A few years ago there was a tremendous shortage of all food items, mainly those that the poor consume the most: flour, sugar, coffee, milk.
Faced with the uncertainty of how long the crisis would last and the fear of having to do without my favorite hot drink indefinitely, we opted to buy a coffee plant and plant it in the patio.
It has already produced its first fruits, but hardly last year.

This time it seems that it will be more abundant and some flowers have already opened. We also have a plant on a plot that we have not far from here, it has more time, it has given more fruit and I already had the privilege of tasting a coffee produced at home.

What is my festive coffee drink?

I'd always have black coffee with sugar in the morning and after every meal. I had to get used to taking it without milk because this has become very expensive and sometimes difficult to find. That makes me consider that my festive coffee drink is that, coffee with milk.

What do I like the most about it?

The perfect combination of bitter-sweet with the creaminess of the whole milk make it a drink for me that I enjoy as if it were a punch or a dessert, especially when I dip it in my bread.

What memories does this drink bring me?

It reminds me of my maternal grandmother who drank coffee with milk, but without sugar because she was diabetic. She prepared a lot, kept it in a thermos and from there we all could take of it, but had to add sugar if we wanted it sweet.

What is my secret ingredient?

Just that the whole milk is of good quality. It is generally prepared from the one that comes in powder. The milk is whipped so that it is somewhat thick so that the drink is creamy.

How did you discover this drink?

In my family there was never a lack of powdered milk, so my brothers and I started to become regulars at coffee, because our parents, grandparents and uncles drank it combining both with sugar and enjoy it by dipping bread in it.

Hello @elentogether, welcome to the community.
Thanks for using #spillthebeans as the first tag, however, you have missed the main thing to post directly to the community to qualify.
Please also bear in my mind that #spillthebeans, coffee stories is a creative writing prompt; It's not intended to have responses like that of a questionnaire.
Maybe you could keep an eye out for the next round of contest, and hopefully you'll cover all the required steps.
Thanks for stopping by.

Next time around, ok?
I can give you my personal vote, but I can only promote quality post that's done directly to the community, since the community is under the OCD incubation :)
