Hablar de mi infancia es hablar del Chavo del ocho, una serie infantil que rompió importantes records de audiencia desde los años ochenta hasta hace algunos pocos años, luego de su interrupción de trasmisión por la televisión a señal abierta de Venezuela.
To talk about my childhood is to talk about Chavo del Ocho, a children's series that broke important audience records from the 1980s until a few years ago, after its interruption of transmission on open-air television in Venezuela.
La semblanza del Chavo del ocho
Esta serie fue realizada por la planta televisiva mexicana Televisa a finales de los años setenta. Posteriormente la misma, con otras pertenecientes al mismo autor (El Chapulín Colorado, el Doctor Chapatín...) fue retransmitida en Venezuela en los años ochenta (siglo pasado) en canales como Radio Caracas Televisión y Venevisión, por lo general, a partir de las cinco de la tarde horaro infantil.
Recuerdo siendo un niño, que cursaba grados de primaria en la céntrica Escuela Ana de Zambrano Roa de Guanare, y me regresaba a mi hogar el cual queda en los alrededores de la ciudad (Ya sea caminando o en buseta) y al llegar, lo primero que hacía, era encender el viejo televisor a color para ver dicho programa, en donde uno disfrutaba de las aventuras de un niño huérfano que vivía en una vencidad (El chavo) el cual dentro de su inocencia hacía travesuras, en las cuales lo acompañaban Kiko (niño egocéntrico, poco inteligente, con cachetes inflados y quien siempre le tenía envidia al Chavo) la Chilidrina (hija de Don Ramón picara y astuta, fiel amiga del Chavo) Ñoño (El hijo del dueño de la vencidad: El señor Barriga) y otros personajes infantiles que siempre se reunían en las clases de la escuela con el Profesor Jirafales.
También hubo personajes adultos que tuvieron mucha relevancia en su trama.

¿Quienes eran los adultos en el Chavo del ocho?
Don Ramón o Ron Damón, padre de la Chilindrina; no le gustaba pagar el alquiler, por tal razón, siempre se escabullía para evadir al Señor Barriga, amén de las cachetadas que recibía de Doña Florinda y el intenso acoso que tuvo de parte de Doña Cleotilde (La Bruja del setenta y uno)
Doña Florinda: Madre de Kiko, por alguna extraña razón le agradaba servir tazas de café al profesor Jirafales, no sabemos que pasa en ese café pero siempre cuando llegaba Jirafales, lo invitaba a tomarlo en su casa. Amén de la furia materna que desataba ella, cuando defiendía a su hijo Kiko, de forma injusta; con Don Ramón...
El Profesor Jirafales, el maestro de la escuela y pretendiente de Doña Florinda, todas las tardes llegaba a la casa de Doña Florinda obsequiándole un regalo y tomando café. En muchas ocasiones sufre las travesuras de los niños de la vencidad.
La Bruja del setenta y uno, es una mujer soltera que vive en la residencia número setenta y uno, eterna enamorada de Don Ramón, lo persigue, lo pretende y le incomoda que le digan la bruja del setenta y uno.
El señor Barriga, es el dueño de la vencidad, siempre que viene a cobrar recibe golpes torpes por parte del Chavo, sufriendo además los escapes de Don Ramón quien le debe más de catorce meses de renta.
Personajes más o menos, con todas estas características, todos los días ocurren muchas cosas interesantes en esta vencidad...
Con el paso de los años esta vencidad, sufrió el cambio o desaparición de algunos personajes, tal es el caso de Kiko, quien hizo su última aparición en el año mil novecientos setenta y ocho en el Capítulo "Las vacaciones de Acapulco" su última participación. En mil novecientos setenta y nueve, otro personaje que se marchó y volvió fue el de "Don Ramón" quien posteriormente al poco tiempo se retiró por padecer de cáncer...
Con esta modificación de la serie, se agregaron nuevos personajes y nuevas aventuras, que resultaron en bajas notables de sintonía con los nuevos capítulos, por esa razón, a pesar de ser una serie que se grabó durante años... La misma fue cancelada a principios de los años noventa...

Y hablamos de años y años, al punto que ya casi sabíamos, incluso; cada letra de los guiones. La gente de mi pueblo decía lo mismo: lo mismo de siempre y nos volvemos a reír de los mismos chistes. Esto era el cariño y simpatía por este gran clásico.
Leí hace algunos años, que una televisora brasileña, de la cual no recuerdo el nombre, por políticas de programación, quitó de su grilla al Chavo del ocho luego de muchos años al aire. A los días el buzón de cartas de dicha televisora, se abarrotó de miles y miles de peticiones solicitando el regreso del mismo ¿Resultado? A los pocos días volvía a programación el Chavo del Ocho y sus derivados en el mismo horario...

Una serie exitosa transmitida en toda Latinoamérica y traducida en varios idiomas, para el resto del mundo. Sin duda el chavo marcó la infancia de muchos de nosotros. Es una serie que con un humor inocente y hasta noble se robó el corazón de muchos de nosotros y creo que eso es lo que la mantiene vigente a pesar de los años. Felicidades por tu post.

Esto es algo que seguirá pasando de generación en generación ¿Quién no ha disfrutado del chavo? es increíble el éxito de este programa, que todavía es transmitido en muchas partes del mundo. Aunque es un producto de México, traspaso fronteras y se convirtió en un icono para todos los latinoamericanos.
