📖My Spring Reading List || Mis lecturas de Primavera🌸🌺🌷

As I have done before, I love sharing my reading list for the season. I like to adapt the tone of my reading to the season we are in; although in my country we don't experience the four seasons in a marked way, in my mind we do, and now we are in one of my favorites: spring🌸 It also coincides with my birthday in May (fingers crossed that my loved ones will give me books as gifts 😏📚).

For me, spring is a time of new beginnings, of trying new things, of taking risks, of blossoming and growing; it's the season when we can keep our feet on the ground and, at the same time, allow ourselves to dream.

That's why, for these months, I wanted to combine fantasy and romance in my reading: books that leave me with a pleasant feeling, that take me to other worlds and, at the same time, make me feel butterflies✨

Como ya lo he hecho anteriormente, me encanta compartir mi lista de lecturas de la temporada. Me gusta adaptar el tono de mis lecturas a la estación en la que estamos; aunque en mi país no vivamos las cuatro temporadas de manera marcada, en mi mente sí sucede, y ahora estamos en una de mis favoritas: la primavera🌸 Además, coincide con la temporada de mi cumpleaños en mayo (crucemos los dedos para que mis seres queridos me regalen libros 😏📚).

Para mí, la primavera es un momento de comienzos, de intentar cosas nuevas, de tomar riesgos, de florecer y crecer; es la estación en la que podemos tener los pies en la tierra y, al mismo tiempo, permitirnos soñar.

Por eso, para estos meses quise combinar fantasía y romance en mis lecturas: libros que me dejen una sensación agradable, que me hagan viajar a otros mundos y, al mismo tiempo, sentir mariposas✨

The King's Heart - Karine Bernal Lobo

✨Opinion:

There's not much to say. I'm obsessed with this series, and I sigh every time I see those three books on my nightstand. I've already started reading it, I'm almost halfway through, and I bought it a week ago. It's made me laugh, it's tugged at my heartstrings, and there's still so much of Magnus and Emily's story left to tell. This isn't the end; I know there's another one on the way, and I'll be eagerly awaiting it. It's worth noting that it has a rating of 4.41 ⭐ on Goodreads.

No hay mucho que comentar. Estoy obsesionada con esta saga, suspiro cada vez que veo esos tres libros en mi mesa de noche. Ya lo comencé a leer, voy casi por la mitad y lo compré hace una semana. Me ha hecho reír, me ha apretado el corazón, y todavía falta mucho de la historia de Magnus y Emily. Este no es la conclusión, sé que viene otro en camino, y lo esperaré con ansias. Cabe destacar, que en Goodreads cuenta con una puntuación de 4.41⭐

✨Opinion:

I loved the first part, The Jasad Heir, so much. It's a story that combines fantasy with Egyptian culture, creating a new world full of danger, political divisions, magic, and imminent war. The romance simmers slowly but feels delicious; however, here Arin already knows Sylvia's true identity, so the “enemies to lovers” dynamic is even more powerful. This is the conclusion of the story, and I'm really eager to know what decisions Sylvia will make. She's a protagonist I'm deeply fond of, and she teaches you that sometimes you have to choose yourself above all else.

Amé demasiado la primera parte: La Heredera de Jasad. Es una historia que combina la fantasía con la cultura egipcia, creando un nuevo mundo lleno de peligros, divisiones politicas, magia, y una guerra inminente. El romance quema a fuego lento, pero se siente delicioso; no obstante, aquí Arin ya conoce la verdadera identidad de Sylvia, así que el "enemies to lovers" es más potente aún. Esta es la conclusión de la historia, y realmente estoy ansiosa por saber qué decisiones tomará Sylvia. Es una protagonista que le tengo un profundo cariño, y que te enseña que, a veces, es necesario elegirte a tí misma por encima de todo.

✨Opinion:

We're in debutante season thanks to Bridgerton releasing a new story, and since I've already read that series, I needed more material with that vibe. Although The Wallflowers is more Victorian than Regency, it still has those historical elements we love about Bridgerton. It's a series that follows each member of this group of friends in their search for marriage, and I love it! I have very high expectations. Plus, from comments, I know that this author's writing doesn't shy away from spicy content🔥

Estamos en temporada de debutante gracias a que Bridgerton estrenó una nueva historia, y como ya leí esa saga, necesitaba más material con estas vibras. Aunque las Wallflowers son más de la época victoriana que de la Regencia, aun mantienen esos elementos históricos que amamos de Bridgerton. Es una saga que sigue a cada miembro de este grupo de amigas en su búsqueda de matrimonio, ¡y me encanta! Tengo expectativas muy altas. Además, por comentarios, sé que la pluma de esta autora no minoriza el contenido spicy🔥

✨Opinion:

Excuse me, magical cats? Historical fiction? Fantasy? This book is perfect for me🩷 I saw online that it was being released, since this author has written other famous books, and just knowing that it's about a cat shelter, I instantly knew I had to read it. Every week I buy a kilo of cat food to give to the stray cats near my house every day. Having the resources to help an animal shelter is my dream, so I already love the main character. And I'll say it again, magical cats?! I know they are, but this book gives me a world where it's confirmed that they are. I'm so excited to start this book💗

✨Opinión:

Disculpa, ¿gatos mágicos? ¿ficción histórica? ¿fantasía? Este libro es perfecto para mí🩷 Vi en internet sobre su estreno dado que esta autora ha escrito otros libros famosos, y con solo saber que trata de un refugio de gatos instantaneamente supe que debía leerlo. Cada semana compro un kilo de gatarina para cada día repartirla a los gatos callejeros cerca de mi casa, tener los recursos para ayudar a un refugio de animales es mi sueño, así que ya amo a la protagonista. Y lo vuelvo a decir, ¡¿gatos mágicos?! Yo sé que ellos lo son, pero este libro me da un mundo en donde está confirmado que sí lo son. Tengo demasiada emoción por comenzar este libro💗

✨Opinion:

I know this book isn't very spring-like, nor is it very cozy fantasy, but it does have something important: a film adaptation on the way. The movie premieres on March 20, and the trailer left me very interested. But I love reading the books before seeing the movies to get a clearer and deeper understanding of the story. It's been a long time since I've entered a literary world of science fiction, even though it's a genre I love in all formats, so I want to give this book, which has been so highly acclaimed by readers, a chance. I'll always be open to stories about the imminent destruction of our planet.

✨Opinión:

Sé que este libro no es muy primaveral, ni muy de cozy fantasy, pero sí tiene algo importante: una adaptación cinematográfica en camino. La película se estrena el 20 de Marzo, y el trailer me dejó muy interesada. Pero me encanta leer los libros antes de ver las películas para tener una visión más clara y profunda de la historia. Tengo mucho tiempo sin entrar en un mundo literario de ciencia ficción, a pesar de que es un género que me encanta en todos los formatos, por eso quiero darle una oportunidad a este libro tan aclamado por los lectores. Siempre estaré abierta a conocer historias acerca de la inminente destrucción de nuestro planeta.

Other books may be added during these months, but these are the ones I want to prioritize this season. Stories that I hope will transport me to other worlds, make me sigh with a good romance, and remind me why I love getting lost between pages so much🌸 It's time to give ourselves permission to start over, try different stories, and let ourselves be surprised by books that we might not have chosen in another season.

Puede que durante estos meses se sumen otros libros, pero estos son los que quiero priorizar en esta temporada. Historias que espero me hagan viajar a otros mundos, suspirar con un buen romance, y recordar por qué amo tanto perderme entre páginas🌸 Es el momento para darnos permiso de empezar de nuevo, probar historias diferentes y dejarnos sorprender por libros que quizá en otra temporada no habríamos elegido.
