Amig@s lectores, como están?! Mucho tiempo sin conectarnos por acá, pero ya les iré contando en que he andado. Por ahora quiero compartirles un hermoso paseo que hice con mi compañera de vida y de siempre por uno de los barrios más pintorescos de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, La Boca. Como es de costumbre les dejo un pequeño resumen que nos facilita la pagina de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires https://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/laciudad/barrios/laboca para conocer un poco la historia de cada barrio.
El barrio toma su nombre debido a que es donde se encuentran las bocas de los Riachuelos que desembocan en el Rio de la Plata, durante varios años fue el puerto natural de Buenos Aires, pero debido a la poca profundidad, los bancos de arena y las considerables crecientes y bajantes, entre otros, el puerto se trasladó más hacia el norte de la Ciudad.
A fines del siglo XIX comenzó a instalarse en el barrio una pujante y creciente comunidad italiana con preponderancia de origen genovés que, poco a poco, fueron dándole vida y personalidad al lugar. Con el tiempo se fueron incorporando otros grupos de inmigrantes, españoles, griegos, alemanes y algunos dispersos grupos de franceses y sajones. El barrio era un lugar de marineros de paso, con lo cual, se abrieron numerosas pulperÃas. La Boca se caracterizó por ser un barrio de habitantes divertidos, ruidosos y melancólicos. Hablaban el dialecto xeneize (el de los genoveses), como si estuvieran en su tierra. Eran muy trabajadores y solidarios, llegaron a formar numerosas instituciones de apoyo comunitario, editaron diarios y fundaron clubes deportivos y culturales. Dada su gran sensibilidad para el arte, en el barrio han nacido cantores, músicos, poetas y artistas plásticos, muchos de los cuales han ocupado lugares significantes en el sentir popular.
Dear readers, how are you? Long time no connect here, but I'll tell you what I've been up to. For now I want to share with you a beautiful walk that I did with my life partner and always in one of the most picturesque neighborhoods of the city of Buenos Aires, La Boca. As usual I leave you a small summary that provides us with the page of the City of Buenos Aires https://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/laciudad/barrios/laboca to know a little history of each neighborhood.
The neighborhood takes its name because it is where the mouths of the Riachuelos that flow into the Rio de la Plata are located. For several years it was the natural port of Buenos Aires, but due to the shallow depth, the sandbanks and the considerable floods and low waters, among others, the port was moved to the north of the city.
At the end of the 19th century, a thriving and growing Italian community began to settle in the neighborhood, mainly of Genoese origin, and little by little, they began to give life and personality to the place. As time went by, other groups of immigrants, Spaniards, Greeks, Germans and some scattered groups of French and Saxons joined in. The neighborhood was a place for passing sailors, which led to the opening of numerous "pulperÃas". La Boca was characterized as a neighborhood of fun-loving, noisy and melancholic inhabitants. They spoke the Xeneize dialect (that of the Genoese), as if they were in their own land. They were very hard-working and supportive, they formed numerous community support institutions, edited newspapers and founded sports and cultural clubs. Given their great sensitivity for art, the neighborhood has produced singers, musicians, poets and plastic artists, many of whom have occupied significant places in the popular sentiment.
Hoy en dÃa es un barrio de clase trabajadora pero muy muy colorido desde el piso hasta las estructuras, es muy visitada por turistas internos como extranjeros, hay diversos locales de comida, restaurantesy lugares de gran importante para el arte, Caminito es el lugar más fotografiado y admirado por las personas que lo visitan, debido a que las estructuras son hechas de chapas de latón pintados de colores muy vivos y llamativos, también se pueden observar las maravillosas figuras de cera donde se pueden ver personajes como Eva Perón, Maradona, Gardel, entre otros.
Puedes encontrar shows de tango en las tarimas de los restaurantes al aire libre, paseos por las calles donde todo es color, encontrarte una figura del papa Francisco o una Mafalda en cualquier asiento de la calle, también puedes visitar la Bombonera que es el estadio de Futbol del Boca Juniors, nosotras cuando lo visitamos no pudimos entrar a su museo debido a que ese dÃa jugaban con otro equipo y no fue posible ingresar. Nowadays it is a working class neighborhood but very colorful from the floor to the structures, it is very visited by domestic and foreign tourists, there are several food places, restaurants and places of great importance for art, Caminito is the most photographed and admired by people who visit it, because the structures are made of brass sheets painted in bright colors and striking, you can also see the wonderful wax figures where you can see characters like Eva Peron, Maradona, Gardel, among others.
You can find tango shows on the stages of outdoor restaurants, walks through the streets where everything is colorful, find a figure of Pope Francis or a Mafalda on any seat in the street, you can also visit the Bombonera which is the Boca Juniors soccer stadium, when we visited it we could not enter.
when we visited it we could not enter their museum because that day they were playing with another team and it was not possible to enter. (Termino con esta foto que me encanta, el clima hizo su trabajo y el sol no dejo de brillar, al fondo se puede ver parte de las casas pintadas con muchos colores que hacen que este barrio sea tan diferente y pintoresco, el ánimo que se respira es incomparable y aunque hay mucha carencia económica en los habitantes del barrio de La Boca, visitar el lugar siempre te puede recargar de buenas energÃas. // I end with this photo that I love, the weather did its job and the sun did not stop shining, in the background you can see part of the houses painted with many colors that make this neighborhood so different and picturesque, the mood that is breathed is incomparable and although there is much economic deprivation in the inhabitants of the neighborhood of La Boca, visiting the place can always recharge you with good energy.)
