FAMILY REUNION AN EXCITING MOMENT IN THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS
Hi friends,
please am going to start with an apology, there was an error while posting this write-up to the #festivesonhive community, it was misplaced by error to #festiveonhive, and could not be visible here, so i had to bring it to the appropriate community.
Its my joy and gladness to wish you a merry Christmas already, am so excited and i cant keep it, someone said to me yesterday, why not hold on till the time is ripe?, so i told him, tomorrow could be your time, but my time is now. I don't need to wait till Christmas day, I already have so much joy to share and Have got enough to share till the Christmas day and of cause down the new year.
In fact there is a song in my spirit, i would love to sing to you but my device wont permit me to do that now, so for the song, i will wait until my garget is in good condition, then i will bless your heart with the song.
For today, I want to bless your heart by sharing with you one of the most exciting moment we have always had in Christmas season and in the spirit of love, joy and celebration.
FAMILY RE-UNION in the past 10 years had been an occasion, no member of our extended family would intend to miss, or tread for any other function or occasion, Its normally once in the Christmas season but this year is a unique one, and the first of its kind, as such we will be having it twice in this season.
My Grand parents were blessed with 12 children, but amongst all of them My father who was the second son and the immediate younger brother happens to be the only surviving children of the family after all the time and resources spent on them, That was a bit difficult for my father and His younger brother to handle, my Grand father was a down to earth Fisher man, while My Grand mother was the home manager and the Fish marketer, my father and the brother grew up together, so close that it was had to separate the both of them, My father and the younger brother were doing fine in school at their primary education and just before they could finish, The shocking news of their fathers demise was brought to them at home from the riverine. so they became just 3 left out of 14.
This is the most interesting part of the journey, life went on as it were, though difficult but God made a way for them, the 2 of them letter got married and the number became 5 in the family, my uncle had 5 kids while my father had 7, kids in total became 12, when added to the 5 of them, we became 17 in all, somewhere along the line we lost our only uncle, while my grand mother was still alive, she lived for about a 103 years old before she kissed the earth. The both family had always been together until few years back when there need for us to expansion, so the both family had to separate, but still bonded with love and joy.
today we are all grown, just about a few of us are yet to have their first degree, and this is only what God can do, as we speak, many of us are scattered across the globe so Staying apart became a bit difficult to meet and have a quality time as before, so we decided that no matter how busy and engaged we are, irrespective of our geographical location, we will always bring come home for this amazing and awesome time together, and for about 10 years now, we have had an unforgettable moment, in the reunion experience, just the past weekend were together to share in the joy and as well celebrate one of our sister who will be getting married in a couple of weeks from now, but we will be meeting again on 28th of the month, redo the usual as our family culture demands.
- Prayers
Amongst the feature captured in the event, are moment of thanksgiving, were we tell God thank you for the journey thus far, and then we commit to him the days ahead, events and other related activities. We hold hands together, and make declarations, we call forth things that be not into existence and i tell you god has been faithful.
- A time to wine and dine
Its always a beautiful moment to eat together, run around together and do the things we use to do together when we were kids, assorted delicacies are always available, so you go for your choose and as much as you can, for me, its always the native delicacies because i may not get as good as that outside of home and even if i get it, will be once in a while.
- Time to share thought in business, relationships and carrier
Good enough we have some of us who are into business and other carriers, so we create time to share our own experience, and as well advise the younger once and coach them on what to do, we talk about our relationship and as well encourage that Godly relationship should be the bed rock of all that we do in our relationship.
- Time for Games
This session is always mind blowing, the fun, the joy and the excitement is never of this world, the best way i can describe, this very session is to tell you that its often super-fantastic, we are always looking forward for such a time.
- Exchange of Gift
Its never complete until this very section is conducted, we did not have this very session over the weekend due to the fact that we will meet again on the 28th so our gift are well packaged and kept for the dee day, In the spirit is Christmas you will agree with me that if there is no gift exchange, it will not be complete, so we will do complete our reunion come 28th by Gods grace, as we chat a new beginning for our year 2022.
