Despedida dinner with my accounting family.

One of the hardest things when leaving is bidding farewell to the people who once helped us and spent good memories with us. I am leaving my recent job for greener pastures. An unexpected opportunity came that's why I am letting go of my work as an accounting staff. I did properly tender my resignation a month before so I could exit the company smoothly.

My last day of work will be tomorrow. So, my colleagues initiated a dinner as a farewell party for me. We made a reservation at Chosun Chicken, Apm Centrale Mabolo. It's an unlimited chicken and samgyupsal restaurant.

The price per person is 399 or $7.26. I wasn't able to enjoy the pork because I am on abstinence right now. I do not eat pork for the whole 40 days in observance of the Lenten season. It's also my practice every year.

I did enjoy the meal even if I only ate chicken and a side dish. As the saying goes “sometimes it's not about the place or food, it's the company you have” Glad to come across these people. We savor the time and talk about a lot of things while enjoying the food.

It was indeed a wonderful night with them. A night well spent. I told them that even if I'm no longer their workmate, they can still message me if they wanted to hang out and have dinner.

As I am bidding goodbye, my heart aches because I am leaving them but there's also a bit of excitement about what lies ahead. :)
