Today I’m bringing you a new #Cover that I’ve put my heart and soul into for you: my version of the unforgettable song ‘No podrás’, by the Mexican artist Cristian Castro.

This track was released in 1992 as the lead single from his debut album ‘Agua Nueva’. This brilliant track quickly became a Latin pop classic of the 90s; my whole generation grew up listening to his music.

The lyrics speak of the pain left by a break-up, of all the broken promises of love, and of that bitter realisation that love lived with intensity leaves an indelible mark on our hearts.

Performing a song by Cristian Castro is quite a challenge, as his vocal tone is unique and unrivalled. In my opinion, there are songs that only he can sing – at least without leaving you gasping for breath, haha.
