Exploring Markdown with Fall Colours

I am very inspired by the fall colours all around me. They are as soothing as they are beautiful. Out in the country, you mostly see yellow, but with all the carefully curated species around the city, it is quite a spectacle and a feast for the eyes.

This is the view from the gym at Trout Lake where I began two regular spin classes recently, the first since Covid started. I thought I could work out there for free but when asked another community centre if I could also train, a letter from the city came forbidding such a thing and I blew it for a lot of people who were doing it on the down low.

The programmer who put this on blast was also a jerk, he wasn't asking, he was telling what to do! Drama!

Anyway, it's a bit nostalgic to let go of that other place but come on! If I'm gonna pay to make my commute to a non-lucrative but interesting gig worthwhile, I’d better get THIS view. I also like that we have our own room as opposed to the mezzanine at Hillcrest.

People don't have to wear masks to class. They are supposed to put it on as they migrate from one work station to another but that's really hard to enforce. I have to admit that at my other job as a gym receptionist, I don't reinforce that particular rule because it feels awkward. I tell all the new people and I am glad when I see it.

Now I must be a magician to write on the left here because the text is in the wrong order.

Speaking of the arcane, check out this wizard robe. I love the multicoloured effect. I think it would make a great Splintelands cosplay!

I took this shot at the Circle Market. I can't believe they make you pay to buy stuff in there. I guess finding the right gift for the holidays is priceless.

If you can't tell, I'm all about the #play2earn model these days. I even went to Dygycon. I wish I had met new people but I felt a little shy to be honest. Next time!

Hey, what do you know, my images are side by side and then there's text over here! This post from @ybanezkim26 explained how to do it. I am so glad.

Over here is some modern Vancouver architecture.

Wen Upland Vancouver?

Anyway, it's been a trip learning Markdown with you all, when I can figure out exactly what I did, I will be sure to make a proper tutorial but I can tell you that the five dashes is what I used to merge the two previous columns into one.

As I previously said, the text under the left picture was written before the other one, even if to you, it appears lower.

I can't wait to see it on my phone. By the way, PeakD works great on a mobile browser although you may be disappointed to find your pics compressed. It has happened mostly with drawings and turned out to be a good thing because I now have archives for these posts.

I will finish by mentioning the drawing of a plant above, a demo from my art class in trying to perceive negative space by avoiding any focus on the actual object. I am having a blast in these art classes and they are truly fulfilling and uplifting.

That’s it. Be well, be real and be you!
