Remodelando mi espacio 🤍

Hola querido amigos de HIVE, espero se encuentren en un buen momento. y disfrutando de la familia.

Siempre queremos avanzar y mejorar, dure muchos años durmiendo con mi mamá porque no tenía cama, cuando mi hijo nació en el 2015, me mude a mi cuarto a la cama individual de mi hermana. y ahí dormí con mi hijo por 10 años, hasta que el año pasado en noviembre después de muchos años pude comprar mi cama.

We always want to move forward and improve. For many years, I slept with my mom because I didn’t have a bed. When my son was born in 2015, I moved into my sister’s room and slept in her single bed. I slept there with my son for 10 years, until last November, when—after many years—I was finally able to buy my own bed.

Reuní entre dos trabajos, y pude al fin comprarme la cama, mi novio que trabaja en Caracas, Venezuela me lo compro allá un poco menos de lo que podía comprarlo en mi localidad Anaco, Ve, y me lo trajo de allá en un carro, así que él se lanzó la travesía, lucho contra tempestades😂, bueno es que ese día llovió, y tuvo que luchar literalmente para llegar hasta acá, salió desde las 10 am aproximadamente de Caracas y llego a las 6 de la tarde, para traerme mi cama, la verdad fue un momento muy esperado por años mi cama me encanta es gris y el copete la tela es de terciopelo o por lo menos eso parece 🤭, nunca siquiera había tenido que pensar en comprar sabanas para mí..

I saved up from two jobs and was finally able to buy the bed. My boyfriend, who works in Caracas, Venezuela, bought it for me there for a little less than I could have paid for it in my hometown of Anaco, Venezuela, and brought it to me from there in a car. So he set out on the journey, battling storms😂—well, it rained that day— and he literally had to fight to get here. He left Caracas around 10 a.m. and arrived at 6 p.m. to bring me my bed. Honestly, it was a moment I’d been waiting for for years. I love my bed—it’s gray, and the headboard fabric is velvet, or at least it looks like it 🤭. I’d never even had to think about buying sheets for myself before…

No tenía mesita de noche, y aunque no sea algo estrictamente necesario, se requiere tener cerca algo donde colocar el teléfono, algún libro, vaso con agua y bueno por mucho tiempo use una gavera con una telita por encima, y luego una caja con una tapa de plástico 😂, hasta que este año mi novio, con una caja de madera me hizo una mesita, que al principio la había colocado con una tela, pero luego compre un papel tapiz, para forrarlo, realmente esto era lo que quería contarles, pero cuando inicie a escribir los párrafos iniciales parecen haber cobrado su espacio, así que les comente, en esas pequeñas líneas sobre ese logro que fue haber comprado mi cama 🤍

I didn’t have a nightstand, and even though it’s not strictly necessary, you need to have something nearby to put your phone, a book, or a glass of water on. For a long time, I used a small chest of drawers with a cloth draped over it, and then a box with a plastic lid 😂, until this year my boyfriend made me a little table out of a wooden box. At first, he had covered it with fabric, but then I bought some wallpaper to cover it. Actually, this is what I wanted to tell you, but when I started writing the opening paragraphs, they seemed to have taken up their own space, so I mentioned in those few lines about that achievement—buying my bed 🤍

Bien como les comentaba, compre el papel, quería que combinara con el color del copete de mi cama que es gris, así que compre ese color blanco con gris...

El rollo trae a mi parecer bastante, la mesita tenía ya un pesado de cartón que le había pegado, pero faltaba una esquina, así que lo medí y rellene ese espacio, recorte y pegue, luego con unos pedazos de papel pegue en las uniones de ambos cartones para que no se viera raro cuando colocara el papel.

Well, as I was saying, I bought the wallpaper. I wanted it to match the color of my bed’s headboard, which is gray, so I bought that white-and-gray color...

The roll seems to have plenty of it, in my opinion. The nightstand already had a piece of cardboard I’d glued on, but a corner was missing, so I measured it and filled in that space, cut it out, and glued it on. Then, using a few pieces of paper, I covered the seams between the two pieces of cardboard so it wouldn’t look weird when I put the wallpaper on.

Luego comencé a pegar el papel, lo hice como cuando forro un cuaderno de mi hijo, quitando el papel que cubre la parte de la pega y pasando con un trapito para que vaya quedando lisa la superficie, igual hubo espacios donde agarro un poquito de aire, así que despegue y seguí, hasta que culmine, de pegar, por un lado, se me rompió un poquito, pero el papel es noble y la verdad no se notó.

y mi mesita quedo así, para colocar mis cosas ahí. y le dio una vista diferente a ese pequeño espacio.

Then I started pasting the paper. I did it just like when I cover my son’s notebook, peeling off the backing paper and smoothing it with a cloth so the surface would be smooth. There were still some spots where a little air got trapped, so I peeled it back and kept going until I finished. On one side, it tore a little, but the paper is high-quality and honestly, you couldn’t tell.

And my little table turned out like this, for me to put my things on. It gave that small space a different look.
