Es un placer para mí estar de nuevo con ustedes, tenía bastante tiempo ausente, pero espero poder contar con su apoyo como siempre y retomar esta plataforma tan espectacular como lo es hive.

Les haré un pequeño resumen de lo que fué mi 2022.

I will give you a little summary of what was my 2022.

Bueno, honestamente mi año de enero a julio fué uno y de Julio a Diciembre otro, una montaña rusa en su totalidad.

Well, honestly my year from January to July was one and from July to December another, a roller coaster ride in its entirety.

En enero, fuí al trabajo de mi mamá a cantar en una noche de karaoke, que honestamente fué muy incómodo, no me sentía cómoda con la gente viéndome.

In January, I went to my mom's work to sing at a karaoke night, which honestly was very uncomfortable, I didn't feel comfortable with people watching me.

Febrero, por primera vez celebré el 14F con amigos, la pasamos increíble, cantamos y comimos hasta que me tocó irme.

February, for the first time I celebrated 14F with friends, we had an incredible time, we sang and ate until it was my turn to leave.

Marzo, seguía en la academia de baile, aprendiendo un poco de salsa y bachata, aunque siempre me gustó mucho más la bachata.

March, I was still at the dance academy, learning a little salsa and bachata, although I always liked bachata much more.

Abril, llegó el cumpleaños de una amiga y fué mi primera salida a la disco. Fué una locura, aún era menor de edad y salí escapada jejeje. Luego llegó mi cumpleaños... Cumplí 18 años, por segunda vez fuí a la disco y lo disfruté muchísimo.

April, a friend's birthday came and it was my first night out at the disco. It was crazy, I was still a minor and I went out escaped hehehehe. Then came my birthday... I turned 18, I went to the disco for the second time and I enjoyed it very much.

Mayo, nuevamente disfrutaba de mi mayoría de edad, saliendo a discos con mis amigos, salía casi que todos los fines de semana. En medio de toda esa vida un poco loca, llegó a mi un flyer de una competencia de canto. Las audiciones eran hasta principios de junio, tenía mucho miedo. Sin embargó, audicioné.

May, I was once again enjoying my coming of age, going out to discos with my friends, going out almost every weekend. In the middle of all that crazy life, I got a flyer for a singing competition. The auditions were until the beginning of June, I was very scared. However, I auditioned.

Junio, mientras esperaba los resultado, hice un curso de protocolo y etiqueta, me fué muy bien con eso. Quedé seleccionada en la audición, estaba muy nerviosa porque iba ser algo televisado. Nos llamaron a la primera reunión, firmé mi primer contrato.

June, while I was waiting for the results, I took a course in protocol and etiquette, I did very well with that. I was selected in the audition, I was very nervous because it was going to be something televised. We were called to the first meeting, I signed my first contract.

Julio, aquí empezó el mes de la locura y una nueva etapa en mi vida.

July, here began the month of madness and a new stage in my life.

El 6 de julio fué nuestro primer ensayo, a pesar de estar nerviosa, me fué muy bien, mi profesor me decía que tenía un gran talento.

July 6th was our first rehearsal, even though I was nervous, it went very well, my teacher told me that I had a great talent.

10 días después, fué la primera gala. Estaba muy muy nerviosa, tenía sueño y hambre. Me había levantado temprano para poder llegar a tiempo al estudio del canal y llegar a que me maquillaran, porque sí, tenía un maquillador personal.

10 days later, it was the first gala. I was very very nervous, sleepy and hungry. I had woken up early to be able to get to the channel's studio on time to get my make-up done, because yes, I had a personal make-up artist.

Esta primera gala fue libre, las canciones habían Sido escogidas por nosotros mismos y no había puntuación aún, solo destacados, yo fuí uno de ellos.

This first gala was free, the songs had been chosen by ourselves and there was no score yet, only highlights, I was one of them.

En la segunda gala, correspondía el género urbano. Fué un total reto para cada uno de los participantes, ya que, nos tocaba bailar y cantar al mismo tiempo. Ya para esta segunda gala se incluyeron las puntuaciones aunque estás no eran a base de números sino por estrellas. Eran tres jurados, así que el objetivo era obtener las tres estrellas. Yo las obtuve, a pesar de que tuve fallas técnicas (cantar y bailar al mismo tiempo se los juro que no es nada fácil).

In the second gala, it was the urban genre. It was a total challenge for each of the participants, since we had to dance and sing at the same time. For this second gala, the scores were included, although they were not based on numbers but by stars. There were three jurors, so the goal was to get the three stars. I got them, even though I had technical failures (singing and dancing at the same time, I swear it is not easy at all).

Llega la tercera gala, 30 de Julio. Le correspondía al género de música latina, es decir, merengue, salsa, bachata etc.

The third gala arrived, July 30. It corresponded to the Latin music genre, that is to say, merengue, salsa, bachata, etc.

A mí en lo particular me asignaron el género de salsa con dos temas bastante emblemáticos y fuertes en la salsa como lo son Aguanile y Quimbara. Al principio se me hizo un poco difícil, pero luego pude agarrarle la vuelta y logré desenvolverme en escena como quería, nuevamente obtuve mi puntaje perfecto.

I in particular was assigned the salsa genre with two quite emblematic and strong salsa songs such as Aguanile and Quimbara. At first it was a little difficult, but then I was able to get the hang of it and managed to perform on stage as I wanted, again I got my perfect score.

Llega agosto, con la 4ta gala cuyo género correspondiente era música venezolana. En esta gala en específica no me fué tan bien, tenía mucha emocionalidad e inseguridad de por medio, porque no me había logrado aprender muy bien la canción y en escena me equivoqué. Eso hizo que pasara de estar en el primer lugar en la tabla de puntuaciones a estar de cuarta.

August arrived, with the 4th gala whose corresponding genre was Venezuelan music. In this specific gala I did not do so well, I had a lot of emotion and insecurity, because I had not managed to learn the song very well and on stage I made a mistake. That made me go from being in the first place in the score table to being in fourth place.

Por un momento llegué a sentirme muy desconcertada, por alguna razón, no estaba dando el 100 de mí, pero aún no descubría la razón. Tuve muchas críticas de parte del jurado para como inicié, así que como pude intenté poner todas las herramientas en práctica para conseguir recuperar la postura nuevamente.

For a moment I felt very disconcerted, for some reason, I was not giving 100 percent of myself, but I still did not discover the reason. I had a lot of criticism from the jury for how I started, so I tried as best I could to put all the tools into practice to get back on track again.

13 de agosto, gala pop. Esta gala en específico, fué una locura total para mí. Me tocó un tema en inglés de la grandiosa Whitney Houston, así que me sentía con una responsabilidad enorme de dar lo mejor de mí, y a pesar de que el inglés nunca ha Sido mi fuerte, lo hice!

August 13th, pop gala. This specific gala was totally crazy for me. I had to perform a song in English by the great Whitney Houston, so I felt a huge responsibility to do my best, and even though English has never been my forte, I did it!

Ya sentía nuevamente que estaba retomando la energía con la que había iniciado este proyecto, supongo que solo había Sido un bajón de energía y emocional, así que ya estaba preparada para seguir dándolo todo.

I felt again that I was regaining the energy with which I had started this project, I guess it had just been an energy and emotional slump, so I was ready to continue giving it my all.

Conjunto con la producción y los participantes, se llegó a un acuerdo de que la temática de la gala siguiente, fuera Disney. El reto era actuar lo más que se pudiera para poder interpretar la canción que nos habían asignado a cada uno. La canción que me asignaron (Mi reflejo, de la película Mulan) marcó un antes y un después en todo aspecto, ya que, me identifiqué muchísimo y sentí que desde ese momento empecé a creer mucho más en mí y en mi talento. Esa presentación fué una de las mejores, llevándome así a posicionarme nuevamente en la tabla.

Together with the production and the participants, an agreement was reached that the theme for the next gala would be Disney. The challenge was to act as much as possible to be able to interpret the song that each of us had been assigned. The song I was assigned (My reflection, from the movie Mulan) marked a before and after in every aspect, since I identified myself very much and I felt that from that moment I began to believe much more in myself and in my talent. That presentation was one of the best, leading me to position myself again in the chart.

27 de agosto. ¡Llegamos a la semifinal amigos! La semifinal iba a ser una gala duo, en honor a Juan Gabriel y Rocío Durcal. Para esta gala, me tocó con una amiga que tengo casi toda la vida conociendo, así que para nosotras fue un placer trabajar juntas y recordar viejos tiempos, nos tocó interpretar el tema "la muerte del palomo" y nos fué excelente! Obtuvimos puntuación perfecta.

August 27th, we made it to the semifinal, folks! The semifinal was going to be a duo gala, in honor of Juan Gabriel and Rocio Durcal. For this gala, I was with a friend that I have known almost all my life, so it was a pleasure for us to work together and remember old times, we had to interpret the song "la muerte del palomo" and it was excellent! We got a perfect score.

Teníamos dos semanas para prepararnos para la final, que sería el 10 de septiembre.

We had two weeks to prepare for the final, which would be on September 10.

En estas dos semanas, debíamos prepararnos para esa noche la cuál contaría con dos rondas, antes de anunciar al ganador.

In these two weeks, we had to prepare for that night which would have two rounds, before announcing the winner.

Era difícil escoger las canciones "perfectas" ya que dudabas en si podrían darte un lugar o no en el cuadro para ganar.
En mi caso, para la primera ronda elegí una canción conocida Acaríciame, de María Conchita Alonzo y para la segunda ronda escogí I Surrender, de Mariah Carey. Esta iba a cantarla en una versión en español por mayor comodidad.

It was difficult to choose the "perfect" songs as you doubted whether or not they could give you a place in the box to win.
In my case, for the first round I chose a well-known song Acaríciame, by María Conchita Alonzo and for the second round I chose I Surrender, by Mariah Carey. This one I was going to sing in a Spanish version for convenience.

Estuvimos esas dos semanas ensayando todos los días, hasta horas de la tarde casi noche, para que todo saliera perfecto para cada uno de los participantes esa noche.

We spent those two weeks rehearsing every day, until late in the afternoon almost at night, so that everything would be perfect for each of the participants that night.

Llega el gran día, 10 de septiembre.

The big day arrived, September 10.

Ese día me desperté muy temprano, ya que debíamos de estar en el lugar del evento a las 8am.

I woke up very early that day, as we had to be at the venue at 8am.

Parte de la mañana la pasamos calentando y ensayando mientras terminaban de decorar el escenario. Yo estaba un poco nerviosa, así que, andaba un poco hiperactiva.

Part of the morning was spent warming up and rehearsing while they finished decorating the stage. I was a little nervous, so I was a little hyperactive.

Luego de que me maquillaran, andaba por todo el escenario descalza, ya que, uno de los trabajadores de allí me aconsejó que así podría sentir el escenario más mío, así que yo le hice caso jajaja.

After my makeup was done, I walked around the stage barefoot, because one of the workers there advised me that I could feel the stage more mine, so I listened to him hahaha.

Ya se empezaba a sentir el calor de la tarde, y el nerviosismo porque cada vez más se acercaba la hora...

The heat of the evening was already beginning to be felt, and the nervousness because the time was getting closer and closer...

Terminó la competencia , y honestamente no sé ni cómo describirles esa noche.

The competition ended, and I honestly don't even know how to describe that night.

Si se preguntan, a pesar de que mis participaciones en las dos rondas fueron muy buenas, no gané.

If you are wondering, even though my participations in the two rounds were very good, I didn't win.

Pero obtuve el título de segunda finalista!

But I did get the title of runner-up!

A pesar de no haber ganado salí muy satisfecha con mi trabajo y agradecida con la producción por darme la oportunidad de ser parte de ese hermoso proyecto.

Even though I didn't win, I was very satisfied with my work and grateful to the production for giving me the opportunity to be part of this beautiful project.

Esa noche sin duda alguna, marcó un antes y un después en toda mi vida.
Esa noche sin duda alguna, supe lo que era conectar con un público de casi 300 personas.
Esa noche sin duda alguna, vencí mi ansiedad y todos mis miedos.
Esa noche sin duda alguna, me sentí orgullosa de mi misma y sé que las personas que me han visto crecer en el ámbito de la música también lo estaban.
Esa noche sin duda alguna, supe que mi vida la quería siempre en un escenario con gente gritando mi nombre.

That night undoubtedly marked a before and after in my life.
That night, without a doubt, I knew what it was like to connect with an audience of almost 300 people.
That night without a doubt, I overcame my anxiety and all my fears.
That night without a doubt, I was proud of myself and I know that the people who have watched me grow in the music world were proud of me as well.
That night without a doubt, I knew that I wanted my life to always be on a stage with people screaming my name.

Fué una experiencia maravillosa, la cuál si me preguntan la repetiría millones de veces a pesar de no haber ganado. Los conocimientos y la satisfacción propia que me lleve fueron gigantes, además de conocer a personas increíbles como lo eran mis compañeros y mis profesores!

It was a wonderful experience, which if you ask me I would repeat a million times despite not having won. The knowledge and self-satisfaction that I took with me were gigantic, besides meeting incredible people such as my classmates and my teachers!

Octubre... En medio de toda esta aventura que tuvo mi vida en esos 3 meses, conocí a un chico, el cuál ahora es mi lugar seguro.

October... In the middle of all this adventure that my life had in those 3 months, I met a guy, which is now my safe place.

Fué una persona que me ayudó muchísimo a creer en mí, en mi potencial y en mi talento.

He was a person who helped me a lot to believe in myself, in my potential and in my talent.

Ha estado para mí al 1000% apoyándome en cada una de mis locuras desde que lo conocí, y bueno, hasta los momentos me soporta😂❤️.

He has been for me 1000% supporting me in each of my crazy things since I met him, and well, until now he supports me😂❤️.

En noviembre, tuve la experiencia de cantar en un local de la ciudad, en una noche de Karaoke, la diferencia era que esta vez podía disfrutar de lo que hacía sin sentirme incomoda por la gente y me sentía mucho más segura conmigo misma y también canté en un concurso de belleza junto a mi profesor de la competencia, fué increíble.

In November, I had the experience of singing in a local club in the city, in a Karaoke night, the difference was that this time I could enjoy what I was doing without feeling uncomfortable with people and I felt much more confident with myself and I also sang in a beauty contest with my teacher of the competition, it was amazing.

Diciembre, fuí en reiteradas ocasiones al negocio donde trabaja mi mamá a cantar con ciertos grupos reconocidos de la ciudad, experiencias maravillosas y que disfrute muchísimo.

In December, I went several times to the store where my mother works to sing with certain recognized groups of the city, wonderful experiences that I enjoyed very much.

Un día antes de navidad, también participé en la creación de un mensaje navideño, experiencia también increíble.

A day before Christmas, I also participated in the creation of a Christmas message, also an incredible experience.

Llegaron las fechas familiares, dónde por supuesto estuve con mi familia y mi novio, culminando así el año con personas que amo muchísimo.

The family holidays arrived, where of course I was with my family and my boyfriend, culminating the year with people I love very much.

Y así termina mi año, con un montón de experiencias que me llevaron a ser mejor, con un montón de herramientas y lecciones que me seguirán ayudando en el camino de la vida y con una maleta recuperada llena de sueños y metas que alcanzar.

And so ends my year, with a lot of experiences that led me to be better, with a lot of tools and lessons that will continue to help me on the road of life and with a recovered suitcase full of dreams and goals to achieve.

Mi mensaje para todas aquellas personas que me leen, es que, siempre siempre confíen en sí mismos, en lo que son y en lo que serán... Eres más grande tu ansiedad, eres más grande que tus miedos.
Que tus inseguridades y pensamientos negativos causados por la ansiedad, jamás te permitan creer lo contrario, porque eres y serás una persona maravillos@!

My message to all those people who read me is that, always always trust in yourself, in what you are and what you will be.... You are bigger than your anxiety, you are bigger than your fears.
May your insecurities and negative thoughts caused by anxiety, never let you believe otherwise, because you are and will be a wonderful person!

Ah, y para darles un plus de como inició mi año pues... Iniciamos con la mejor energía de todas, renovando fuerzas para este nuevo año y dejando todo lo malo... ¡En la playa!
