You can also find these things for super cheap and use these :) That's what I do.
People also just throw 'em away. I know a guy near me who worked at an artificial vanilla packing plant and he has hundreds of these. Artificial vanilla is very toxic and highly flammable so he just gives them away.
(these aren't my photos - mine are buried in the ground making a composting system)
