Sondela Nature Reserve – the night sky is magical, what lay out there that I couldn’t see, but, could only hear? The foothills in Southern Drakensburg were gorgeous! If I hadn’t been there, you wouldn’t be able to tell me that I was in Africa. I have never been to Lesotho before. You have such a rich history of strange and exotic places. I say strange, even though I don’t mean weird. I used to bet which country would change its name next (I was a young kid, but, I just learned the continent and boom! I had to learn it all over again!)

Champagne Castle looks mighty fine! Did they serve, you know… Champagne? I think I’m in love with La Rochelle in St. Lucia! The fog lifting over the rolling hills and mountains.

Le sigh.

Rhino Peak is fabulous, Joan! The natural beauty of Port Shepstone… You have really been to some nice places. I like Timeshares if you use them. The problem with people is they don’t usually use them. I bought one when I was 24 and sold it twenty years later. I used it and had fun with it, and if I wasn’t able to, I let someone in my family use it, so it was a good deal for me. Thank you so much, this was so much fun and you have outdone yourself taking us everywhere!

#MarketFriday has evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages. Along with the fact of what is normal for where you live? These are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue.

I appreciate your support of #MarketFriday! Thank you! Your participation adds a piece to your world, and I have to say, people are interested in seeing it. This entire challenge has opened up the world to me and so many others. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I am so happy to see you here! I hope you have a fabulous day! Hive on!! Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost?
  3. Post the picture(s) Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated)
  5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
  6. Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
  7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
  8. Please only one post each week. Believe it not, I run out of voting power if you put in many more than that.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

Many years of travel and fun, not only ourselves but extended family when excess points were available.

Sondela was the first we purchased into, found it very far to travel and used excess points finding Fairways through an exchange.

Sold Sondela after about eight years, having already purchased into Fairways, being school holiday week it suited us wonderfully taking friends along for our sons.

Each place has wonderful memories, much like you I love travel, especially into more remote quiet places, now the time has come we consider selling Fairways. Sons plan to make a move, for us we have points to carry through to 2024, time is right for another family to have the joy of this spot.

Wonderful to share in such a charming way, finding out more about people in far away lands.
