Just Like That, This Post is Over

She emerged like a flower in spring
Spreading her beauty and love everywhere
Life takes her
To extraordinary places
Her love for living
Makes her magically beautiful

If love ever chances your way
If the sun shines on your soul
If you turn your eyes to the magic in life
The smile in your heart will never fade

Some days, emotions run deep and I just don't know where to hide them. Do I hide them under a rock, down by the dock? Put them up in a tree, where they can wave free from the eyes of the maddening crowds? I could put them on here, or try over there, but honestly who needs that stuff everywhere? Suffice to say, I'll play instead, my words and my thoughts together again.

Out of a cloud of obscurity did you come
Leaving the gate of my heart undone
Revealing exposed to the world that was watching
Stealing my perception
Of love, everlasting

Must I wait for the lock to be fixed
My heart to be mended along with the fence
Shrouded this morning in a blanket of dew
Wandering through the pasture instead
Looking

There is beauty in the demise of things. Except perhaps love. The demise of love is never beautiful, but, it may be a relief of sorts to some. Love makes the world go round, doesn't it? It's what I have always believed.

It is so hard to pass up unusual beauty when I see it. "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" Always.

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

The Naming of Cats

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn’t just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I’m as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.

I think there can be life without physical love, but, there is the love of life, love of country, love of nature. The list is endless. Thank you and have a great day!

The demise of any and every thing has a bit of melancholy attached to it I think. Surely hopes and expectations were high at the start. However, often the demise of things are not really up to us entirely.

You got a bit of everything in this post. Cows, horse, and a cat. Pretty cool how it all goes together.

It did turn out a bit more eclectic than I had imagined. The horse got kind of thrown in as he was guffawing in the most hilarious way.

It's #Caturday!! And I was tired like the cat. Enough said on that, right? The cows just always feel melancholy to me. Is that just me? The sad moooo! mooooo! Perhaps I am hearing the wrong words?

But, I guess you are right; the demise of flowers is sad - more because it means winter will be coming or their time of beauty has come and gone.

Le sigh.

I think I just wrote melancholy, but, not on purpose. Hey, @old-guy-photos have a great day!

Good morning, Jo! You sent me some of your chill, didn't you? I woke to the coolness (read cold!) of Autumn. I brought my spider plants in from the porch last night. They have lived out there since March, so, they were shocked I brought them in. Oh, now what to do with these? They have grown to be monster size and I made a mistake and planted babies in all the other pots.

Thanks for stopping by @redheadpei! Always good to see you. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Funny that your title says it is over before it starts.

Add that creepy rose that appears to have an eyeball peering out of the center again.... shiver .....

LOL !!

Would you could you in a car.... eat them eat them here they are !

I believe you were channeling a little Suess here too.

I love the yammering words of Suess and I suppose if you want, you could read it like Emily Dickenson, but, it just wouldn't sound the same. I did a whole post that was, it was kind of fun.

I like that creepy rose. I have a whole bush of them. :) I can send you a clipping so you can have some too. :) There is an endless supply of them and they are still blooming. All of my roses are and I just got frost that killed off some of my flowers! Boo! Maybe it was just cold, I didn't think we got frost any night and it is still 70 or close to it during the day.

I couldn't find a good place to say it ended and I couldn't think about a title. I was exhausted and wanted to go to bed. :)

Good morning to you~!

Suess is the bomb !

No thanks on the creep rose clipping.... LOL...

We've had a frosty night or two randomly about a week ago, so everything is not gone yet, but lots of the leaves are showing damage and a few flowers. It's that time though, the middle of November already ! Can you even believe it ????

I guess the title then is just as well.... it could have been Good Night ! LOL

Good morning......

It coulda, probably shoulda, but, there you go. The only thing I could think of was bed and the sleep that was waiting for me. I think it is mental exhaustion. Maybe wine food exercise might help. I haven't been out for a walk yet today.

The garden isn't gone, but, the portulaca is dead. It is succulent and it shriveled up and died. There was one other flower that died, but the rest of the garden is pretty good-looking still. The leaves are turning more yellow and the reds are already here. Oh, my! Almost time to decorate for - you know!!!! Christmas! Yay! :)

Dead portulaca. Overnight!! RIP

Pooooorrr Babyyyyyy....

Yeah.... really, less than two weeks now for me, since I normally do it on Thanksgiving weekend. I have seen across the net that a lot of folks decorated early already to cheer themselves up. I was picturing a load of dust on things by Christmas.....LOL... so I'm waiting till my normal time. I also have my "stuff" arranged different this year, so my tree won't go at the front window.... what ?? I have a few more things to clean out or get rid of before all my Christmas Treasures come out.

No! Rent a shed! LOL

I normally do it on Thanksgiving weekend as the tree would die any sooner. Otherwise, I might be tempted. I am moving it all around probably this next weekend, the furniture, don't ask me why, just tired of looking at it the same way. I need something, not quite sure what, but, I am feeling a little stagnated. Although, I will be going to Florida in a few days for only a few days. I can't make myself fly yet.

I bet your place will look fun! You do such a creative rendition of Ho! Ho! Ho!

With covid and all, nobody sees it but me, so the tree will be more in the center of my living area this time, instead of the front window.

In the past, whatever was at the front window would have been re-arranged for the tree to go there, but during this year, I put my art table there and all my art stuff in the corner behind it, so when I sit at my table, I have the big window to see out. I like it there, not in looks at all, but in nature of how I feel there, so I am not moving all that crap for the tree. I might or might not put a smaller tree in my bedroom window, which is also at the front of the house and now that I am saying this, I suppose I could get something cheap and actually light one on the front porch for street effect since there won't be one in the big front window.... hmmm.... not sure, but anyway... it's a thought.

I think I told you last year, but one of my cousins had downsized her home and even thought it was a very nice smaller home, there wasn't lots of extra space in the living room, so she had the bright idea to put a tree on her front porch where she could see it from inside too and TA-DA..... problem solved. Not the same for sure, but she said it worked for her.

I still want one inside, but outside the front window might also be an nice add-on.

I love the idea of the one outdoors, although now I use the tree I brought down from Michigan and planted one here and one at the shore. They have got a few years on them now and make perfect Christmas trees! I decorate it and call it macaroni for the outside tree! :) I did put one on the porch before when I lived in San Antonio and a windstorm took much of it to my neighbors' lawn. :( I havn'et done that since.

I might have to try it again here. Porches decorated with trees look so festive. I agree with you, with the no real visiting policy here in the family, it will be another quiet one. Visiting is okay, but, too many people in one place is verboten in my book.

Le sigh.

In my quick thought of it, I figure porch tree would need to be very weighted on the bottom and maybe only a few big "glass look" plastic ornaments.... wired on. Of course I haven't had time to think it through. I guess I was thinking more about how it would look at night in which ornaments wouldn't matter so much, but mainly lights. We'll see what happens... if anything.

I don't have a good Christmas shaped tree in my yard to decorate, only bushes ! ... and some of those are gone now too ! LOL.... you never know what you will wake up too when my Uncle takes a notion.

:) That is true.

I decorate for the night, so I go lights heavy. I do wire the bulbs on, and I have to think about what to do for the outside this year.

We will have to have a Christmas light strategy meeting tonight!

Much like the rationale of my Thoughtful Daily Post... Life is not always positive, thoughtful, kind. But if we try to focus on those things that do bring those good vibrations... Even better when we can see there are others, just like us, that are experiencing the same things. Beautiful post as always...

:) Well, yes. Far from the Maddening Crowds is a book actually. I borrowed a couple of their words to put in the sentence. :)
