Inspire Me, Just for a Moment or Three

“Surrender to what is. Let go of what was. Have faith in what will be.” Sonia Ricotti

I am always inspired by faith. I watched, as her hands ruminated over the rosary, letting slide each bead between her fingers, over and over and over again. It never sleeps, never ends, and is always growing with every instance in our life. May you be inspired by faith, and covered by grace in the life you live. May you be blessed beyond measure and share your blessings with others.

Thoughts come easlity, but inspiration does not. For me, it is driven by a moment, a small pieces of life that is strung together with another or maybe many others. My words are inspired by the amazing human beings that walk through my life, either beside me or like an interlude, brief moments, usually with purpose. There are times I have no idea what that purpose is, but, it usually reveals itself in time.

What if?

I were here, without a dream
Would my heart slow down and begin to breathe?
Without the thought of doing something
That which is me
Going someplace or living right
Who decides the truth or wrong, enough or not
The purpose within?

What if?

Lay down your thoughts
That cometh

All that glitters is not gold. Sometimes it's just holiday bling.
All, that is gold, does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong, does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. - J. R. R. Tolkien

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

How Do I Love Thee?

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Not really. I'll bet you can't tell the difference between the cell phone pictures and the camera. :) Its very deceiving.

Hmmm, Yes, but it is recognizable by the pixel 😉
And I can judge the difference as well 😋

Thank you. I think the writing is a tad eclectic and would like to reel it in a little to focus. But, I appreciate the words.

I hope you are having a great day.

Surrender to what is

Except if it is bad. I do not surrender. Some people may say that I do not know when to give up. They are right. But they say this as if this would be a weakness. No. That is not true. This is not a weakness. This is strength. If it is bad, then never give up, never surrender.

I don't feel like it is a win-or-lose sort of thing. I surrender my soul to God. I surrender in a game when playing with a child, giving them enough play to make them work for it, and then again, sometimes I don't... we can't always win. Best to be taught how to lose gracefully also. I don't see it as a failure. I do not surrender because I am lazy or don't want to put the work into it, but, I guess I just don't think about it.

Saying that, if it were surrendering my child, or something important, never! Good morning from here!

Lay down you thoughts indeed .. what a perfect way to describe meditation. I loved this post. Are back home, beauty?

Just.

I agree about the wording for meditation.

It feels good to be home, although it is always refreshing to be away for a bit. I left and we had 24C and I came back this morning to -2C It will warm up today, but, that was a rude hello. :)

Good morning from here, my friend.

I love that says Ng you start the post with
It is very profound and I think he should live by I am a firm believer in learned Ng from life experiences but not to dwell on them otherwise your past may control and limit your ability to enjoy what you have yet to experience

As always a great post and beautiful photos

I see you also get the you must have a good camera type of comment it’s always one that makes me cringe a little yes a good camera can help in some ways but having an eye fir what to photograph and from what perspective makes a big difference more so than the camera in my opinion

Have a great weekend

Thanks so much, JJ @tattoodjay I have to agree with those words too. Live and learn. It has always been the way, we aren't born with this knowledge and for sure, you didn't take the advice of your elders too seriously when you were at the I know it all stage. I listened because I was polite, but, I used what little wisdom I had.

Fail.

I didn't realize it was more than wisdom, it was also practical experience that was leaned on.

The camera comments... Oh, yes. I say nothing. What can I say? Guilty? I have a camera that is nice. I hope you are having a great day!

OH!!! You really did it! And right before Christmas! How do you know Santa wasn't going to bring it to you?

I can hardly wait to see what you do with it. I will bring mine out again and use it. When I got it, I didn't really know what to do with it. I'm excited for you. :)

You never know when you'll be inspired or where the inspiration will come from. Whether it be Rosary beads or water droplets on sticks, it's always magical when it does come. Nice words.

Thank you so much! Inspiration is funny like that, isn't it? The truth is it comes to you out of nowhere sometimes and other times, I believe I should be inspired, yet, I'm not. :)

I hope you are having an amazing day and I want to thank you for always taking the time to stop in.

I think when Voltaire said “Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers” it also speaks greatly of spirituality and what you mention through inspirations. Sometimes we are seeking inspiration when it is the acceptance of reality and the journey of life that we find such inspirations. Many times people have so many answers to so many situations (myself included) when we should always be challenging ourselves to be the best versions of ourselves through asking a series of critical questions. Many often avoid such discussions as it brings feelings of discomfort or inadequacies, but truly an uplifting post. Kudos!

No one can really decide what is right or wrong for us, except that of ourselves. And we can just let history and the legacies we leave behind to be the record keepers.

Kindness counts - indeed it does. I put up a lovely saying on my last post. In a world where you can be anything - be kind. I like that.

I love that saying. I remember when Instagram or Twitter (I cannot remember which) was flooded with it when Caroline Flack passed away. She was the originator of the quote.

Kindness does count. Every moment of the day. I agree. Thank you and have a great day!

Interesting - I didn't realise she was the originator of the quote. How sad and tragic to have taken her life so early.
