In UK do you live by the coast or in the North? I lived in London for a few years and I remember July being as hot as the rest of continental Europe with people sunbathing in parks. On the other hand, that was more than 12-13 years ago...

I live in Northern Ireland. It is cooler than most of England. This is most noticeable in the summer. This year, July has been miserable all across the UK. June was much warmer.
I don't mind cooler temps, but when everything is damp and wet for more than a week, that's a perfect recipe for depression. Let's hope August will bring some Sun your way.
