1.- Mas vale pájaro en mano, que cien volando

Me identifico mucho con este refrán, ya que soy de las personas que les gusta ir a lo seguro; muchas veces en la vida nos pintan o nos ofrecen cosas y dejamos lo poco que tenemos para aventuramos a hacer algo que muchas veces es peor que lo que teníamos. Esto va con la realidad de algunos venezolanos, quienes muchas veces motivados a la crisis económica, se ven seducidos por cuentos de personas que están en el extranjero y deciden abandonar su trabajo, su hogar, su familia, casa, carro y se van a otro país con la ilusión de buscar un futuro mejor, mas prospero económicamente; y después se dan cuenta que la realidad es otra, y al final terminan perdiendo lo poco que tenían. Es por ello que debemos estar seguros antes de aventurarnos; felicito a los valientes que toman esta decisión; me alegra mucho por los que logran sus sueños y a quienes no lo logran, ánimo!! Que de esa se puede salir adelante.

This goes with the reality of some Venezuelans, who many times motivated by the economic crisis, are seduced by stories of people who are abroad and decide to leave their job, their home, their family, house, car and go to another country with the illusion of seeking a better future, more economically prosperous; and then they realize that the reality is different, and in the end they end up losing the little they had. That is why we must be sure before venturing; I congratulate the brave ones who make this decision; I am very happy for those who achieve their dreams and for those who do not make it, cheer up! 2.- Más sabe el diablo por viejo, que por diablo

Con esto queremos decir que es súper importante tomar en cuenta las experiencias, las vivencias y consejos de las personas mayores; ya que muchas veces nos cuesta oír y mas aun cuando creemos que no la sabemos todas mas una (como decimos acá en Venezuela). En mi experiencia personal en el hospital siempre me la he llevado bien con las enfermeras veteranas (para no decir viejas), oír sus consejos y ponerlos en práctica me ha ayudado mucho en mi trabajo, siempre hay que mantener la humildad y respetar la sabiduría de las personas, el tener un titulo profesional no nos hace mas que otro.

2.- The devil knows better than the devil

With this we want to say that it is very important to take into account the experiences, experiences and advice of older people, because many times it is difficult to hear and even more so when we believe that we do not know everything plus one (as we say here in Venezuela). In my personal experience in the hospital I have always gotten along well with the veteran nurses (not to say old), to hear their advice and put it into practice has helped me a lot in my work, we must always maintain humility and respect the wisdom of the people, having a professional degree does not make us more than another.

3.- No hay peor ciego, que el que no quiere ver

Este refrán se me viene a la cabeza cuando veo el caso con madres y padres que no quiere ver los defectos o las malas acciones de sus hijos; cuando un vecino, un amigo o alguien cercano les dice “tengan cuidado con su hijo que anda con mala compañía, anda en malos pasos”; estos padres se molestan diciendo que su hijo es un santo, que es envidia de la gente, y cuando viene a darse cuenta, ya su hijo es todo un delincuente y esta detenido, aun así lo siguen defendiendo . Se que existen sus excepciones, pero cuando nos dicen algo debemos ver el porque del comentario, si la persona que lo dice es de fiar y mantenernos alerta; así evitar males peores.

This saying comes to my mind when I see the case with mothers and fathers who do not want to see the defects or the bad actions of their children; when a neighbor, a friend or someone close tells them "be careful with your son who walks with bad company, he walks in bad steps"; these parents get upset saying that their son is a saint, that is envy of the people, and when they come to realize, their son is already a criminal and is arrested, even so they continue defending him. I know there are exceptions, but when they tell us something we must see the reason for the comment, if the person who says it is trustworthy and keep us alert, and avoid worse evils.
