Today I want to tell you about the most exciting prenatal check-up I have had since I became a specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics. It is about the Prenatal control of my wife, who was carrying in her uterus my beloved daughter, Alejandra Nazareth.
It all started one day when I told my wife: that you care so much, we should look for a little brother (a) to Alejandro (my second child) to play and understand each other, that they do not have much age difference. I managed to convince my wife by being a bit hard: I told her that the older they are, the higher the risk of having a high-risk pregnancy. That's how I convinced her and she stopped taking the pills she used to take care of herself.

Nathaly, my beloved wife, for work reasons lived in another city and I traveled constantly and every weekend. Several months went by and I told her: we are going to have to check you to see what is going on, and she answered me at that moment that her menstruation had not come in the current month. Moments of joy and uncertainty came over me. She went for a pregnancy test and we confirmed the pregnancy. From then on, the pregnancy symptoms began, nausea and vomiting did not leave her.

When she turned 12 weeks I did an ultrasound trying to see the sex, but it was not easy and I was impressed that it was a boy, I was silent, without saying anything, and my wife was sad at that moment. A week later I could not hold the desire and I returned to evaluate her, at 13 weeks, and there I received the biggest surprise and excitement: female sex.... I cried with emotion, I could not believe that God had pleased me, because I dreamed of having a female because I already had 2 sons.

Months went by and the baby wouldn't let me see her face for anything in the world, she covered her face with her little hands. It seemed like she was playing with me, because I had her evaluated by another colleague and she did let me see her face.

When I reached the 7th month, my wife had a fall and uterine contractions began, the baby wanted to come out early, they were moments of great anguish and worry, my wife went into absolute rest and treatment to inhibit the pain. I was able to carry the pregnancy to 36 weeks, but the contractions increased. She was evaluated by 2 colleagues at different times and they told me that she had a little time left. But the pains did not subside, my wife was getting weak, I evaluated her again, thoroughly for almost more than 1 hour, and I told her at the end of the evaluation: "I am going to take as a doctor the most difficult decision of my life, but I am going to operate you today, and may it be in the name of God, and I hope or be wrong but everything must go well".

We went to the Clinic and I requested the emergency operating room.

My beloved baby girl was born on October 1st at noon, taking out my own daughter was an indescribable, unforgettable and unique emotion. To be the first to touch her, to see her, to hear her cry, that is the ultimate. The baby was born with a hematoma on her forehead, caused by so much pressure of the head in the pelvic excavation by contractions. Her weight was: 3 Kilos and measured: 44 cms, but clinically stable and only required an incubator for a few hours.

Currently my little girl is 10 years old, and, together with her older brother, 13 years old, we have enjoyed all of her adventures, mischief and concerns. Her middle name: "Nazareth" is in honor and gratitude to Jesus of Nazareth, to whom my wife asked and prayed for everything to go well with the pregnancy.

Hoy quiero contarles el control prenatal más emocionante que he tenido desde que me hice Especialista en Ginecología y Obstetricia. Se trata del control Prenatal de mi esposa, que traía en su útero a mi amada hija, Alejandra Nazareth.
Todo empezó un día que le digo a mi esposa: que tanto te cuidas, debemos buscarle su hermanito(a) a Alejandro (mi segundo hijo) para que jueguen y se entiendan, que no tengan mucha diferencia de edad. Logre convencer a mi esposa siendo un poco duro: le dije que mientras más edad más riesgos de tener un embarazo de Alto Riesgo. Así fue que la convencí y suspendió las pastillas con que se cuidaba.

Nathaly, mi amada esposa, por asuntos de trabajo vivía en otra ciudad y yo viajaba constantemente y todos los fines de semana. Pasaron varios meses y le dije: vamos a tener que revisarte a ver qué pasa, y me respondió en ese momento que la menstruación no le había venido en el mes en curso. Momentos de alegría e incertidumbre me invadieron. Fue a realizarse una Prueba de Embarazo y confirmamos la gestación. De allí comenzaron los síntomas del embarazo, nauseas y vómitos no la abandonaban.

Cuando cumplió 12 semanas le realicé una ecografía intentando ver el sexo, pero no estaba fácil y me impresionó que era varoncito, me quede callado, sin decir nada, y mi esposa se puso triste en ese momento. Una semana después no aguanté las ganas y volví a evaluarla, a las 13 semanas, y allí recibí la mayor sorpresa y emoción: sexo femenino…. Llore de la emoción, no podía creerlo que Dios me había complacido, porque soñaba con tener una hembra porque ya tenía 2 hijos varones.

Pasaron los meses y la bebe por nada del mundo se dejaba ver la carita, se tapaba con las manitos. Parecía que jugaba conmigo, porque la hice evaluar con otro colega y con el si dejó que le observara la cara.

Al llegar al 7mo mes, mi esposa tuvo una caída y empezaron contracciones uterinas, la bebe quería salirse antes de tiempo, fueron momentos de mucha angustia y preocupación, mi esposa entró en reposo absoluto y tratamiento para inhibir los dolores. Pude llevar el embarazo hasta las 36 semanas, pero las contracciones aumentaron. Fue evaluada por 2 colegas en momentos diferentes y me dijeron que le faltaba un poquito de tiempo. Pero los dolores no cedían, mi esposa se ponía débil, volví a evaluarla, minuciosamente casi por más de 1 hora, y le dije al final de la evaluación: "voy a tomar como médico la decisión más difícil de mi vida, pero voy a operarte hoy, y que sea en nombre de Dios, y espero o estar equivocado pero debe salir todo bien".

Nos fuimos a la Clínica y solicité el quirófano de emergencia.

MI niña amada nació el 01 de octubre al mediodía, sacar a mi propia hija fue una emoción indescriptible, inolvidable, y única. Ser el primero en tocarla, verla, oírla llorar, eso es lo máximo. La bebe nació con la frente con un hematoma, causado por tanta presión de la cabeza en la excavación pelviana por las contracciones, Su peso fue: 3 Kilos y midió: 44 cms., pero clínicamente estable y solo ameritó incubadora por pocas horas.

Actualmente mi niña tiene 10 años de edad, y, en conjunto con su hermanito mayor, de 13 años, hemos disfrutado de todas sus ocurrencias, travesuras e inquietudes. Su segundo nombre: "Nazareth" lo lleva en honor y agradecimiento a Jesús de Nazareth, a quien mi esposa le pidió y rezó para que todo saliera bien con el embarazo.
