Several years ago, in 2010, my wife and I decided to travel to Cancun in Mexico. I tell you that from the moment we landed on the plane at Benito Juarez International Airport, the stress began. Passing through Customs control, the Federal Police, of all the passengers, only fell in love with me and sent me to hit the wall with arms up to check me as if I were a criminal, that was my reception in the Mexican country. Of course, they found nothing and let me in with my wife.

From there we transferred to Cancun. I tell you it is a wonderful place, plenty of historical sites, a lot of variety, a clean city, with a lot of tourist and commercial movement.

At the hotel where we stayed, located on the beach, with a spectacular ocean view, we were offered several tour packages upon arrival. Today I will tell you about the first place we visited:

Xel-ha, is a beautiful park whose emblem is a huge natural cove, home to various species of flora and fauna, besides being of special relevance to the Mayas in their time of splendor.
Since ancient times, the Mayas knew this imposing natural site. The meaning of Xel-Ha is "where the water is born" due to the convergence of several subway rivers that flow into the cove of this natural wonder.

Xel-Ha is a water park where you can do many activities in water. The variety of animals on display is spectacular, birds, turtles, reptiles, among others. In this Natural Wonder you will be able to observe more than 90 marine species.

You can observe an area where tourists can practice swimming with dolphins. Truly fascinating. We also enjoy buffet restaurant and unlimited drinks.

Xel-Ha is an incredible place to put on your fins, vest and mask and start exploring the crystal clear waters of the Riviera Maya. Snorkeling is definitely one of the favorite activities for tourists visiting the Mexican Caribbean. So we put on our masks, snorkel and swam for a while in the crystal clear waters of the place.

We'll leave it here for today so I don't go on so long. In the next post we will talk about another spectacular tourist attraction on my trip.

CANCÚN, MEXICO UN LUGAR PARA DISFRUTAR. PRIMERA PARTE

Hace varios años, en el año 2010, mi esposa y yo decidimos viajar para conocer Cancún en México. Les cuento que desde que aterrizamos en el avión en el Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez empezó el stress. Pasando por el control de Aduana, la Policía Federal, de todos los pasajeros, solo se enamoraron de mí y me mandaron a pegar de la pared con brazos en alto para revisarme como si fuese un delincuente, ese fue mi recibimiento en el País Mexicano. Por supuesto, no encontraron nada y me dejaron entrar con mi esposa.

Desde allí hicimos transbordo para dirigirnos a Cancún. Les digo que es maravilloso el lugar, abundantes sitios históricos, mucha variedad, una ciudad limpia, con mucho movimiento turístico y comercial.

En el Hotel donde nos hospedamos, localizado a orilla de la Playa, con una vista al mar espectacular, nos ofrecieron al llegar, varios paquetes turísticos. El día de hoy les contaré sobre el primer lugar visitado:

Xel-ha, Es un hermoso parque que tiene como emblema una enorme caleta natural, hogar de diversas especies de flora y fauna, además de ser de especial relevancia para los mayas en su época de esplendor.
Desde la antigüedad, los mayas conocieron este imponente sitio natural. El significado de Xel-Há es “donde nace el agua” debido a que confluyen varios ríos subterráneos que desembocan en la caleta de esta maravilla natural.

Xel-há es un parque acuático donde podrás realizar muchas actividades en agua. La variedad de Animales en exhibición es espectacular, aves, Tortugas, reptiles, entre otros. En esta Maravilla Natural podrás observar más de 90 especies marinas

Puedes observar un área donde los turistas podemos practicar el Nado con Delfines. De verdad fascinante. También disfrutamos de restaurante buffet y bebidas ilimitadas.

Xel-Há es un increíble lugar para ponerse las aletas, el chaleco y un visor y comenzar a explorar las aguas cristalinas de la Riviera Maya. Practicar snorkel es en definitiva una de las actividades preferidas de los turistas que visitamos el Caribe mexicano. Así fue, nos pusimos las caretas, el snorkel y nadamos un buen rato en las aguas cristalinas del lugar.
