Where Every Stone Holds Hope: My Visit to a Small Gold-Gathering Stream Surrounded by Nature

Today, I visited the farm of my friend, and I saw something different from the usual farming activities that I often see. Instead of planting crops, they are trying to find gold from the small stream in their area.

There is a small river surrounded by many stones. For me, they are just ordinary rocks, but for my friends, these stones are part of their hope. They carefully gather materials from the water and work hard to find small pieces of gold.

They told me that sometimes, they need around 15 to 30 days to collect enough gold to reach one gram. When they are able to collect one gram, they can sell it for around ₱7,500. It may take many days of hard work just to collect one gram, but they are thankful for whatever they can find.

Early in the morning, they already start working. They spend their time near the water, checking the stones and gathering what they can. There is no guarantee that they will find gold every day, but they continue because they believe that their hard work will eventually give them something.

While watching them, I also appreciated the beauty of their surroundings. The place is far from the busy area and surrounded by trees, rocks, and fresh air. For someone who loves adventure like me, this kind of place is exciting to visit.

There is also water where you can enjoy swimming or simply cool yourself down. Unfortunately, it is already a dry season, so the water is not very strong today. Still, the small stream makes the place peaceful and beautiful.

As I looked at my friends working, I realized that finding gold is also like farming. You need patience, effort, and hope. Sometimes, you work for many days before you see the result of your hard work.

For them, every stone they collect is a small chance to find gold. Every gram they earn becomes a reward for their patience and determination.

I am happy that I was able to visit and see their simple way of finding a living while enjoying the beauty of nature.
