Monday Hustle: Selling Fresh Harvests at School While My Daughter Learns and Builds Lifelong Friendships

Monday is always the most exciting day for my daughter. Every week, she looks forward to this day with excitement. Because of that, we woke up early to prepare everything before going to school.

Before leaving, we also packed some of our fresh farm harvests. We had ginger, passion fruits, chayote, and bananas to deliver. My daughter was excited to help me pack the orders. I always appreciate moments like this because, even at her young age, she already enjoys helping with our small family business. I believe these simple experiences teach her the value of responsibility and hard work.

We rode a topdown motorcycle going to school while bringing our harvests with us. Since I also planned to sell some vegetables and fruits to my fellow parents, we made sure everything was ready before we left home.

The moment we arrived at school, my daughter's classmates immediately ran toward her. They greeted her with big smiles and warm hugs. Watching them made my heart happy. I'm grateful that she is friendly, loving, and enjoys spending time with her classmates. As a mother, there's nothing more comforting than seeing my child happy and surrounded by good friends.

While she was inside the classroom learning, I stayed outside and sold our fresh harvests to the other parents. Thankfully, everything sold out very quickly! Some even wanted to buy more, but I had already run out of vegetables. I simply smiled and told them that I would bring more tomorrow.

For her snack, I packed rice and an egg. She actually cooked the egg herself because she enjoys preparing part of her own meal. I let her do simple things like that because it makes her feel proud and independent. She also brought a tumbler filled with water. We have a little rule at home that she can only bring juice or sweet drinks to school every Wednesday and I'm happy that she follows it without complaining.

One thing that really touched my heart today was seeing so many grandmothers taking care of their grandchildren at school. It reminded me how great a grandparent's love can be. Instead of resting at home, they spend their mornings guiding and supporting their grandchildren. Some parents are working, while others are far away, so these loving Grandparents gladly step in. I truly admire their sacrifices and unconditional love.

Today I realize that school is not only a place for learning lessons from books. It is also a place where children build friendships, parents support one another, and families work together in their own special ways. After class she ask me to stay 3 minutes to play. Moments like these make every Monday meaningful, and I am thankful to experience them with my daughter.
