How My Backyard Garden Became a Blessing for Our Family and a Small Seedling Business

I never thought that our small backyard garden could bring so many good things to our family. At first, I just wanted to plant vegetables that we could eat at home. I wanted to use our small space instead of leaving it empty.
So, I started planting.

I planted eggplant, chilies, tomatoes, and many other vegetables. I also tried different plants and learned from my mistakes. Sometimes the plants grow well, and sometimes they do not. But every time I see a new leaf or a small fruit growing, I feel happy.

For me, gardening is really enjoyable. It is tiring sometimes, especially when I need to water the plants, remove weeds, or prepare the soil. But when I see the result, I feel that all the hard work is worth it.

One big advantage of having a backyard garden is that we can have fresh vegetables at home. If I need eggplant or chilies for cooking, I can simply go outside and pick them. We do not always need to buy from the market. This helps us save money, especially now that almost everything is expensive.

Gardening also helps my family in many ways. My children can see how plants grow. They can learn that food does not just come from the market. Someone needs to plant, water, and take care of it before we can enjoy it on our table.

But the most exciting part of my gardening journey is that I discovered a small business.
When I started growing vegetables, I also learned how to grow seedlings. I noticed that some people wanted to plant eggplant, chilies, tomatoes, and other vegetables but did not want to start from seeds.

That gave me an idea.

Why not grow extra seedlings and sell them?

So, little by little, I started my small seedling business. I do not have a big garden or a big business, but I am happy because I can earn a little from something I love doing.

What I like most is that I am not only selling seedlings. I am also helping other people start their own gardens. So that they could also save for their daily food.

Looking back, I am thankful that I started planting in our backyard. What I thought was just a simple hobby slowly became a source of food, learning, savings, and extra income for our family.
Small things can grow into something beautiful.
