Harvest at Home: Our Simple Garden Provides Fresh Vegetables and Fruits Ready for Daily Meals

Hello everyone! Here in our farm, we have a simple backyard garden where we grow different kinds of plants. It is not big, but it is enough for our daily needs. We have fruit trees like avocado, mango, and papaya. We also grow vegetables such as pechay, kangkong, alugbati, and green chili. These are the usual plants we take care of every day.

Our garden really helps us, especially when it comes to food. There are times when I want to cook something, like monggo, and instead of going to the market, I just go outside and pick fresh vegetables. It is very convenient because everything is already there. We don’t spend money, and we are sure that what we eat is fresh.

Taking care of the garden is not always easy. There are days when the weather is too hot or when it rains too much. Sometimes the plants grow well, and sometimes they don’t. But even with these challenges, we continue because we know that in time, we will still get something from it. Gardening really needs patience. You cannot rush the plants. You just have to take care of them and wait.

I also notice that when we are consistent in watering but this month is a raining season here in area and checking the plants, they grow better. Even simple care like cleaning around the plants and removing weeds can make a big difference. Little by little, the garden improves. Everyday this is my daughter routine when she wake up she go out and check one by one especially the pechay because she notice that everyday there’s a improvement especially in the leaves it grows fast.

One of the best parts of having a garden is seeing the results of your effort. When we harvest vegetables, it feels rewarding. It may be simple, but it is enough for our family. It also teaches us to appreciate small things.

My daughter is also part of this experience. She gets excited every time we harvest. She likes looking at the vegetables and fruits we put on the table. One time, she even asked to take pictures because she was happy seeing everything that came from our garden. At her young age, she is already learning that food does not just come from the store. It comes from hard work, patience, and care.

Having a garden also helps us become more mindful of what we eat. Since we grow our own food, we know how it is taken care of. It gives us peace of mind because we are sure it is clean and safe.

Our backyard garden may be simple, but it plays a big role in our daily life. It provides food, saves money, and teaches important lessons. It reminds us that even a small space can give something valuable if we take care of it properly.

Thank you for reading my story, this is my owned picture and edited in Canva. Gardening is not just about planting. It is about patience, effort, and learning. Every harvest, no matter how small, is already a good result of the work we put in. Have a nice day!

Your garden is very diverse. There are many vegetables I don’t recognize, perhaps because I don’t know their names. It’s wonderful that your daughter enjoys taking care of the plants, and what you’ve taught her is very important. Hard work, patience, and love are the foundation of gardening—and of many other things in life.

Thank you so much for sharing. In your photos, the entire harvest looks wonderful—the succulent fruits and the green leaves.

Have a wonderful day
