A Fun and Affordable Ukay-Ukay Adventure: My Daughter Knows Her Fashion and How to Choose Beautiful and Affordable Finds

What started as a simple stop to look for jogging shoes turned into a fun day with my daughter. We were planning to start exercising every morning, so we thought it would be nice to find affordable shoes that we could use for jogging.

On our way, we passed by an ukay-ukay. The moment our tricycle stopped in front of the shop, my daughter was already excited.

She loves ukay-ukay! She immediately started pointing at the shoes, sandals, and clothes she wanted to check.

We saw many children's clothes for only ₱20 each, and honestly, some of them were still really nice and in good condition. So, we decided to stop for a while and look around.

My daughter had so much fun choosing her clothes. She tried some of them on and took her time deciding what she really liked. She was not rushing at all. In the end, she picked 10 pieces for only ₱20 each. And guess what? The kind owner even gave her two more pieces for free!

Her happiness was priceless. She was so excited showing me everything she picked.

Then, we went to the shoe section. I was surprised to see shoes for only ₱65. They looked nice, strong, and still very usable. There were different colors, styles, and brands, so my daughter enjoyed looking at them too.

Of course, she found something she really liked a sandal, a pair of shoes, and even boots! We got all three pairs for only ₱180, and we even received a little discount of ₱5 each. Haha! Sulit.

What made this day special was not only the things we bought. It was the experience of choosing together, checking the quality, comparing prices, and learning that we don't always have to buy expensive things to be happy.

I also used this moment to teach my daughter that being practical is important. We can find good things at affordable prices if we are patient and know how to choose wisely. More importantly, we should appreciate what we have and avoid buying just because something looks cute.

Our quick stop became a fun little adventure, a bonding moment, and a learning experience for both of us.
