A Cozy Day at Shawarma: Savoring Good Food and Meaningful Moments with My Friend

Yesterday was supposed to be a simple day of running errands. I went to the PSA and PhilHealth to process some important documents because I needed my PSA Birth Certificate for a school requirement. My plan was just to finish everything and head home afterward.
But life has a funny way of surprising us.

While I was there processing my papers, I unexpectedly met one of my friends. It had been a long time since we last saw each other, so I was genuinely happy to see her. Since we both had some free time, I invited her to have some snacks. The nearest place we could think of was a shawarma restaurant, and I immediately remembered that it used to be one of her favorite places. That made the decision easy, so off we went.

As soon as we sat down, the stories started flowing. We spent our time catching up, sharing updates about our lives, and talking about all sorts of things. It felt like we had so much to say that we could have stayed there for hours. We laughed a lot, remembered old memories, and enjoyed every moment of our conversation. Honestly, it felt like our chika would never run out!

We ordered a regular shawarma and an all-meat shawarma while enjoying our endless kumustahan. The food was delicious, and the place was quiet, clean, and relaxing. I also liked that there were many food options available at affordable prices. It was the perfect place to sit down, eat, and reconnect with a friend.

Days like this remind me how important friendship is. Life can be stressful, and we all have responsibilities to handle, but spending time with a good friend can instantly make everything feel lighter. There is a different kind of happiness that comes from laughing with someone who knows your stories, understands your struggles, and celebrates your victories with you.
What I thought would be an ordinary day of processing documents turned into a memorable one. I went home feeling happy, grateful, and refreshed. Sometimes, the best moments are the ones we never planned.

Thank you for reading my story. This is my owned picture and edited in Canva. Have a nice day!💛
Hehe nakapag get together rin po kayo kahit saglit lang. 😅❤️
Minsan kahit saglit lang basta genuine na friendship walang katulad ang saya pag magkasama.
Good thing you make time together with someone closed to you. I Like Shawarma too, I just love the vegetables together with the meat and cheese on it. So true that the best moments are the unplanned ones.
It's always nice to spend time with someone close to us. Shawarma is so good, especially with the veggies, meat and cheese all together. Sometimes sis the unplanned moments turn out to be the best ones.
