Nice review! I agree that “Descent, Part II” has strong momentum and gives Crusher a great moment in command.
Data’s emotional arc was handled really well too. The only thing that slightly bothered me was how the Borg lost some of their intimidation factor.
Still one of the better season openers in my opinion. Did you rewatch the whole two-parter recently?
