Hola estimados lectores, esta vez comparto con ustedes mi inicio en la semana 10 del #DadLife, esta semana tiene preguntas interesantes y aunque no tengo experiencias propias de todas estas, tratare de responder desde mi criterio propio y lo que he aprendido a través de amigos que fueron padres antes que yo, este primer día me toca escribir sobre un tema sumamente delicado, el regreso a clases de los niños en tiempo de Covid.

Hello dear readers, this time I share with you my start in week 10 of #DadLife, this week has interesting questions and although I do not have my own experiences of all these, I will try to answer from my own criteria and what I have learned through friends who were parents before me, this first day is my turn to write about an extremely sensitive issue, the return to school for children in Covid time.

Empezare por decir que en Venezuela, la educación estaba en niveles críticos antes de la llegada del Covid, el pésimo sistema educativo publico, los bajos ingresos de los padres, muchos factores influían en el mal aprendizaje de los niños y adolescentes.

I will start by saying that in Venezuela, education was at critical levels before the arrival of Covid, the terrible public education system, the low income of parents, many factors influenced the poor learning of children and adolescents.

Por mi parte aun no me encuentro en este dilema sobre el regreso a clases y el covid ya que mi hija es una bebe, pero la hermanita de mi esposa si se ha visto afectada por el tema de las restricciones en el pais por causa del covid, el atraso que ha sufrido referente a sus estudios es muy grande, primero por que el modo en el que esta estudiando no le permite avanzar en el aprendizaje, solo le colocan las tareas y tiene que enviarlas por medio de WhatsApp, al no aprender materias practicas, se crea unas bases nada buenas para afrontar la etapa de secundaria.

For my part I am not yet in this dilemma about the return to school and covid since my daughter is a baby, but my wife's little sister has been affected by the issue of restrictions in the country because of covid, the delay she has suffered regarding her studies is very large, first because the way she is studying does not allow her to advance in learning, she is only given the tasks and has to send them through WhatsApp, by not learning practical subjects, it creates a not good basis to face the high school stage.

Esto lo sufren muchos de los niños que viven en Venezuela, no solo por el covid si no por el bajo poder adquisitivo de sus padres el cual no les permite estudiar, incluso mucho antes de la llegada del covid, por esto como padres debemos estudiar y con ello enseñar a nuestros hijos, quizás la educación en casa no sea la idónea, pero si ponemos el esfuerzo podemos lograr que el aprendizaje en casa sea productivo.

This is suffered by many of the children living in Venezuela, not only because of covid but also because of the low purchasing power of their parents which does not allow them to study, even long before the arrival of covid, so as parents we must study and thus teach our children, perhaps the education at home is not ideal, but if we put the effort we can make learning at home to be productive.

Por parte de nuestra casa, la niña de la familia que estudia es la hermanita de mi esposa y mi suegra no quiere enviarla a clases próximamente cuando inicien, por temor al contagio, esta en un tres y dos como decimos en Venezuela, si fuera mi hija yo si la enviaría a clases, los niños tienen un sistema inmune fuerte y negarles estudiar y avanzar es mas daño a largo plazo, por otro lado la curva de contagio en Venezuela ha bajado considerablemente, lo que ayuda al regreso a clases.

On the part of our house, the girl in the family who studies is my wife's little sister and my mother-in-law does not want to send her to classes soon when they start, for fear of contagion, she is in a three and two as we say in Venezuela, if it were my daughter I would send her to classes, children have a strong immune system and denying them to study and advance is more damage in the long term, on the other hand the curve of contagion in Venezuela has dropped considerably, which helps the return to school.

Este es solo mi opinión personal referente al tema, quizás otros padres piensen diferente y lo respeto, pero recuerda que siempre tienes que pensar en el futuro de los pequeños y la preparación educativa es de suma importancia para garantizar que lleguen lejos en esta vida.

This is just my personal opinion on the subject, maybe other parents think differently and I respect that, but remember that you always have to think about the future of the little ones and educational preparation is of utmost importance to ensure that they go far in life.
