Mi hermosa madre Dorys Clarissa, una mujer echada pa´ lante como solemos decir los venezolanos. Ella, siempre tuvo ese espíritu luchador, de lograr sus metas, no se amilanaba ante nada, lo que se planteaba en su vida lo lograba, un mejoramiento continuo, una gran mujer. La cual siempre nos decía: “mis hijos, el poder está en la mente y en nosotros mismos, las barreras solo se las coloca el ser humano, nuestro mejor currículo somos nosotros mismos, —porque el papel aguanta todo— ”.

Juro graduarse para honrar la memoria de sus padres, quienes realizaron el esfuerzo de salir de ese pueblo donde vivían, ubicado al norte de cualquier estado en cualquier país, para buscar mejoras en su vida.
Ella decidió ser mejor cada día y sacar la familia para adelante, estudiaba en la Universidad de Oriente UDO con mucho esfuerzo, amor y cariño para ayudar a su esposo Santiago a sacar a sus hijos adelante para que fueran buenos hombres del mañana.

Bajo esa premisa, estudiaba de noche y trabajaba de día, mi padre, un hombre extraordinario, la acompañaba donde ella lo requería. La buscaba y la traía a ella y a sus amigas con las cuales estudio.

Mientras redacto estas líneas de esta bella iniciativa, mis distinguidos lectores no puedo dejar de rememorar el día de la graduación de mi bella madre y de sus amigas. Del traje que uso para el acto académico, era tan hermoso como ella, era de un color azul turquesa con perlas a los lados —¿cómo olvidarlo? —.

My beautiful mother Dorys Clarissa, a woman who went all out as we Venezuelans usually say. She always had that fighting spirit, to achieve her goals, she never gave up on anything, whatever she set out to do in her life she achieved it, a continuous improvement, a great woman. She always told us: "my children, the power is in the mind and in ourselves, the barriers are only placed by the human being, our best curriculum is ourselves, -because the paper holds everything-".

She vowed to graduate to honor the memory of her parents, who made the effort to leave the town where they lived, located north of any state in any country, to seek improvements in their lives.

She decided to be better every day and take the family forward, she studied at the Universidad de Oriente UDO with much effort, love and affection to help her husband Santiago to raise their children to be good men of tomorrow.

Under that premise, she studied at night and worked during the day, my father, an extraordinary man, accompanied her wherever she needed him. He looked for her and brought her and her friends with whom she studied.

As I write these lines of this beautiful initiative, my distinguished readers, I cannot help but recall the graduation day of my beautiful mother and her friends. The dress she wore for the academic ceremony was as beautiful as she was, it was turquoise blue with pearls on the sides -how could I forget? -.
