Así comenzó este viaje maravilloso, acompañada de mi hijo y mi esposo, a uno de mis lugares favoritos, mi tierra, la tierra de mis padres, el lugar que me desconecta de la rutina y me conecta con las cosas sencillas pero maravillosas de la vida, en especial mi familia. Pasamos 13 días increíbles. Ángel Enrique, estaba feliz, extrañaba pasar tiempo con sus abuelos y le encanta jugar en el campo.

El Hato, como ya les he contado en publicaciones anteriores, es un pueblo ubicado al sur del Estado Mérida, está rodeado de montañas que hace que siempre tengas una vista fantástica, sin importar en qué dirección mires. El clima es acogedor, su gente es amable y cordial, siempre tendrán una taza de café para compartir contigo, porque además parte de su población se dedica a la caficultura.

Mi hijo disfruta mucho de este sitio, quisiera poder visitarlo más seguido, por eso cuando vamos lo aprovechamos al máximo. Además de disfrutar del lugar, es una gran oportunidad de que fortalezca su relación con sus abuelos y también es una gran oportunidad para nosotros sus padres para enseñarle muchas cosas y pasar tiempo de calidad con él.

So began this wonderful trip, accompanied by my son and my husband, to one of my favorite places, my land, the land of my parents, the place that disconnects me from the routine and connects me with the simple but wonderful things in life, especially my family. We spent 13 incredible days. Angel Enrique, was happy, he missed spending time with his grandparents and loves to play in the countryside.

El Hato, as I have told you in previous posts, is a town located in the south of Merida State, it is surrounded by mountains which means you always have a fantastic view, no matter which way you look. The climate is cozy, the people are friendly and cordial, they will always have a cup of coffee to share with you, because part of the population is dedicated to coffee growing.

My son enjoys this place very much, he wishes he could visit it more often, so when we go there we make the most of it. Besides enjoying the place, it is a great opportunity for him to strengthen his relationship with his grandparents and it is also a great opportunity for us, his parents, to teach him many things and spend quality time with him.

En nuestras visitas anteriores, el primer día era como el día de adaptación, mi hijo estaba tímido y serio, esta vez fue diferente, reconoció los rostros de todo y se sintió en confianza de inmediato, recordó incluso donde estaban guardados sus juguetes y la bicicleta de mi sobrina.

Era un niño totalmente diferente, sonriente y feliz todo el tiempo, en casa también lo es, pero se estresa con facilidad, allá no había motivos para estresarse, pues toda la atención estaba centrada en él.

Tenía a sus padres libres de responsabilidades y ocupaciones, jugamos juntos a diario y tratamos de enseñarle muchas cosas que en casa no podemos. Además, tenía a sus abuelos y tía consintiéndolo.

In our previous visits, the first day was like the day of adaptation, my son was shy and serious, this time it was different, he recognized the faces of everything and felt confident immediately, he even remembered where his toys and my niece's bicycle were kept.

He was a totally different child, smiling and happy all the time, at home he is too, but he gets stressed easily, there was no reason to get stressed, because all the attention was focused on him.

He had his parents free of responsibilities and occupations, we played together daily and tried to teach him many things that we could not at home. In addition, he had his grandparents and aunt spoiling him.

Todos los días acompañaba a mi mamá, a darle comida a los animales y también le gustaba ir de paseo con el abuelo, por los alrededores, siempre preguntaba si podía tocar los pollos, pero cuando lo intentaba terminaba asustándose. Encontró una cámara y desde entonces se la paso jugando al fotógrafo por el jardín, su modelo favorito era la linda gatita de mi sobrina.

La inocencia y la creatividad de los niños, es algo que nunca dejará de encantarme y divertirme, soy feliz con sus ocurrencias llenas de inocencia. Al patio de la casa, lo llamaba Plaza y para él estar ahí es como si hubiésemos salido de paseo a la calle.

Every day he accompanied my mom to feed the animals and he also liked to go for a walk with grandpa, around the surroundings, he always asked if he could touch the chickens, but when he tried he ended up getting scared. He found a camera and since then he has been playing photographer in the garden, his favorite model was my niece's cute kitten.

The innocence and creativity of children is something that will never cease to delight and amuse me, I am happy with their innocent occurrences. He called the backyard of the house Plaza and for him to be there is as if we had gone out for a walk in the street.

En las tardes, bajaba la neblina y a veces llovía, entonces como no podía salir a jugar y correr, se sentaba con su papá a admirar el paisaje, un par de veces, se formó un arcoíris y él se emocionó mucho al verlo. Con toda razón la vista era increíble.

Momentos así, te hace pensar, en que los niños no necesitan mucho para disfrutar de su infancia y ser felices, no es necesario, juguetes costosos, ni visitas a lugares extravagantes, que la mayoría de las veces no podemos pagar y usamos como excusa la falta de dinero, para no salir con ellos.

Los niños disfrutan de lo simple, de lo natural, ellos son felices con nuestra compañía y nuestro amor.

In the afternoons, the fog would descend and sometimes it would rain, so since he couldn't go out to play and run, he would sit with his dad and admire the scenery, a couple of times, a rainbow formed and he was very excited to see it. No wonder the view was incredible.

Moments like this make you think that children don't need much to enjoy their childhood and be happy, they don't need expensive toys or visits to extravagant places that most of the time we can't afford and we use lack of money as an excuse not to go out with them.

Children enjoy the simple, the natural, they are happy with our company and our love.

También conoció otros primos y niños de su edad, se acercaba a saludarlos con la esperanza de jugar con ellos. Una tarde de paseo conoció a un primito que nació un par de meses antes de él y que no veíamos desde que era apenas un bebé, es emocionante y me hace recordar lo feliz que era mi infancia rodeada de mis primos.

He also met other cousins and children his age, he would come up to greet them hoping to play with them. One afternoon on a walk he met a little cousin who was born a couple of months before him and who we hadn't seen since he was just a baby, it's exciting and makes me remember how happy my childhood was surrounded by my cousins.

Una de sus actividades favoritas, era jugar con su papá con los carritos y la bicicleta. Mi esposo, al principio sufría porque tenía que empujarlo y esto le hacía doler la espalda, entonces encontró la solución perfecta, uso un palo de madera como palanca y así podía empujarlo con facilidad, sin agotarse tan rápido. Además de esta forma trabajamos en que el fortaleciera su confianza y su equilibrio. El aún no pedalea, tal vez, lo hago en nuestro próximo viaje.

One of his favorite activities was playing with his dad with the carts and the bike. My husband, at first he suffered because he had to push it and this made his back hurt, then he found the perfect solution, he used a wooden stick as a lever and this way he could push it with ease, without exhausting himself so fast. This way we also worked on strengthening his confidence and balance. He still doesn't pedal yet, maybe, I will do it on our next trip.

Estas visitas al campo, seguro, formará gratos recuerdos de su infancia y al mismo tiempo es un gran medio de estimulación en su desarrollo y educación, es bueno que los niños, aprendan a amar la naturaleza y los animales, que conozcan de dónde vienen cada uno de los alimentos que llevamos a la mesa y todo el trabajo que hay detrás de ellos, que aprendan a socializar y respetar a todos, sin distinciones.
