El día de hoy quisiera contarles acerca del amor de mi hijo, por quienes eran sus mascotas, dos morrocoyes que han estado presente en su vida desde que nació y ahora le tocó despedirse de ellas, ya que, decidimos que nuestro patio no era el mejor lugar para ellas, así que la llevamos a un sitio donde podrán disfrutar de la naturaleza y seguramente ser más felices.

Totu y bebé, así él llamaba a sus tortugas, vivían con nosotros desde hace ya algunos años, llegaron cuando eran muy pequeñitas y desde entonces se convirtieron parte de la familia, tratamos de darles todos los cuidados que merecen y verlas crecer ha sido hermoso. Desde que mi hijo era apenas un bebe las ha admirado, las quiere tocar, les da agua, le ofrece hojas y comida. Esto me hace muy feliz porque quiero fomentar en él, amor por los animales y por la naturaleza.

This makes me very happy because I want to foster in him a love for animals and nature.

El video es un hermoso recuerdo que conservo, desde que mi bebe tenía 8 meses, le encantaba estar en el patio mirándolas, no les tenía miedo y lloraba cuando ellas se escondían, de hecho una de sus primeras palabras fue Totu, era hermoso verlo jugar con ellas. Desde entonces, cada vez que se acuerda me pregunta por ellas o a veces va al patio y regresa a mí preguntándome por ellas. Siempre le digo que están muy bien en su nueva casa y que pronto las visitaremos.

Creo que todos en casa extrañamos a los morrocoy, pero sabemos que era lo mejor para ellas, actualmente no tenemos más mascotas, pero mi hijo disfruta mucho al ver los gatos y los perritos de los vecinos y está muy emocionado por ir a casa de mi mamá porque sabe que allá están dos hermosos gatitos esperándolo.

Tener una mascota, es bueno para el desarrollo de los niños, no solo crea en ellos amor por los animales, sino que también les enseña a ser responsables, a cuidar a otro ser vivo, me encantaba involucrar a mi hijo en los cuidados de los morrocoyes, él era feliz dándole agua, sé que los extraña, extraña no verlos y cuidarlos, por eso trató de hablarle mucho y espero que entienda que ya no están en casa por una buena razón.
