Sketching outdoors, planning next NFT, and almost done with first animated NFT

I sketch everyday and many times that is out of doors, especially during these wonderful warm Autumn days.

Though I work mainly digitally now a days, most days also have very tactile 'old school' art supplies in them: charcoal, pastels, watercolour, pencil. I've many journals I doodle and sketch in and the light of out doors is refreshing, as my digital work often needs more darkness in my studio, as I'm working on a screen.

That old feeling of paper and chalk, dirty hands or the smear of charcoal and paints is hard to let go of, so I don't. And many times my digital work has begun with sketches on our beach in little books scanned later on to play with in my "digital studio"

I recently was looking at some digital pieces I had begun work on, that had begun as sketches in a journal, in considering my next NFT. So I couldn't help but make it into a little GIF

I'm not sure if our lovely lady here will be in the next one, but I know she'll make an appearance and I'm rather getting into my latest NFT. I've shared it many times thus far, as I add layers and play about with the various ways I'm animating it...My biggest concern now is can I upload the final 1/1 NFT piece , animated, as an MP4? If anyone knows if Makersplace allows that, do let me know.

I'm hoping, at least it's in my Studio journal for tomorrow, to FINISH that first NFT, animated, and get it up on Makersplace. And then my hope is to make 2 more pieces inspired by the same series of drawings and works I did on it in more 'sketchy' form for both SuperRare and the #nftshowroom . I believe NFT showrooms is priced in HIVE. Does anyone know if nft showrooms will allowe mp4 format?

Now, my last Vlog I discussed and talked about the ongoing NFT piece as well as the joy of sketching and a fun bit of walk, so if you'd like to watch that, here you go :

I hope you enjoy it and remember Stay Creative.

I do believe that MP4 is an option at NFT Showroom. You will have to join the discord and see what the size limits are. They are very helpful in the NFT Showroom discord to help answer any and all questions. The invitation link can be found in the weekly curation post. =) Good luck on your sales! =)

I just saw you got your answer about MP4s on the other post! I agree that it's nice to see traditional artists augmenting their artwork with digital aspects and getting into NFTs but not at the expense of sacrificing the old ways!
Cheers! =)

As already answered, MP4 is an option. Can't wait to see your art in NFT Showroom! :)

Me either, I want to do a fun iteration of the final piece I'll have on Makersplace. I think it's going to be fun, now just to make sure I can upload it properly, I better get onto discord this week :)

I like backlighting when working on my screen otherwise my eyes get mad 😅

There’s definitely something in the tactile feel of analogue art for sure. I can’t cope with the lack of undo though 😆 did you manage to get the nft shenanigans sorted?

@ryivhnn well I also have light in the room, as much as I can manage, and take tea breaks in a sunny room or outside :) and yes undo is hard when using paper and paints haha, but I always consider my 'real world' sketching /work as fodder for the eventual digital so there is always the 'hope' of undo looming happily down the road LOL.

Well, per usual, I'm STILL fussing about with the animations today. I Promised myself today, Wednesday , to get the final piece done and processed into MP4 so I can get it up hopefully tomorrow or Friday. We shall see, I have not uploaded to Makersplace in over a year at least, gosh maybe 2.

Then I'm going to try the NFTshowrooms too :) I think between those two and I'll also get back to Super rare as well...exciting stuff.
