Mrs. Whitetail Portrait in my New Series of Animals

Mrs. Whitetail , or Granny Whitetail as she is known to many, is the housekeeper up at the Hall.

She's serious about her duties at the big Hall and runs her house like a tight ship, but never without a smile. In the village she is seen on Friday's to do the marketing herself, never trusting housemaids, kitchenmaids or boot boys to run errands.

She's been 'grandmotherly' since she was a young bunny, always ready to help and give a hand. Many of the young staff up at the big Hall come to her for advice and love. Her mantlepiece, in her room in the servant's hall, is littered with treasures brought back from afar by the Big family and all the staff thru the ages.

Mrs. Whitetail is the Grandmother of the village, many say. And tho she's never had her own children feels the warmth of many from far afield.

Tho I took a detour with My Last Post with a Lady cat, I'm back with a rabbit.

I'm still having fun with these portraits and storylines. I think, being so busy this month doing over my little cottage, I've enjoyed the focus of this one series. It's something to think about during the day when I'm painting a wall, or building a bed from a flatpack.
