A walk in the field and looking at hardy Beach plants

A short video for a #wednesdaywalk in the icy Winter air. Tho we've had a mixed bag of weather, with days being like Spring only to have the next plunge deep into icy winds, it's all of a piece for a New England Winter.

I'm always impressed by the hearty vegatation that not only survives our cold Winter but also doesn't mind the dry hot sun and salty sand of our seashore, even seeming more extreme in Winter. Tho, to be fair, in Winter and Spring they get a fair deal of rain only to use it up and bask in the warm Summer Cape Cod Sun come July and August.

I hope you enjoy today's short little ramble and that it gives you a moment to stop and breath and relax. If you are of a sketching mind, you could even pause and do some 'beachside' sketching in the warmth of your home. However you enjoy it, I hope you do.

Thanks for joining me again today and remember to stay creative.

Ooh it’s so crunchy where you are! I miss crunchy winter! It’s sweaty and I feel like I’m baked from the inside most of the day!

Gorgeous video and lovely how close you are to the water

I haven't been watching a lot of videos lately but I read "hardy beach plants" and thought yep they sure are. Fascinating things :)

Yes I am Always amazed at the plants that grow in our pure salty sand at the sea's edge. The variety of native succulents and so many shrubs and poppies, really all fascinating, well to me anyway. I'm that odd child who'd head off of a morning with some jars, nets and big pockets and come home with all sorts of good things to study and look up haha.
