Prepare to face strong Tropical Storm Conson

Hello everyone, I hope you all have a great weekend. Our weekend will probably not be peaceful. We are currently preparing for our 5th hurricane this year (we usually face 10-12 hurricanes each year). The storm is named Con Son and is expected to be very strong.

Update on Tropical Storm Con Son

It is currently 8pm in our country, the center of the storm is about 130km to the east of the mainland, the strongest wind in the area near the center of the storm is level 9 to 10 (75-100km/h). It is predicted to hit the mainland in tomorrow morning in our city, Danang, and the wind could reach level 11. Currently, although the storm is quite far away, but heavy rain has lasted all day today accompanied by wind. This is expected to be a strong storm, so the government has managed to relocate households in dangerous areas and regularly remind and update us about the storm through the city's messaging system. Hopefully after tomorrow morning there will be no significant damage and the sky will be beautiful again.

Our preparation

We are currently staying at home under the "not leaving home" directive to prevent the covid pandemic. We have reinforced gates, doors, windows and fixtures. The charging of lights, backup batteries and water storage are also necessary in the event of power and water outages. We also managed to stock up on some of the food we needed for a few days. And we also received some food from our family back home. Everything looks alright so I'm sure we'll be fine through this storm. I will update you when the storm is over.
