Green Lake - A Great Destination for a Relaxing Sunday
Hi Hivers, how are you today?
Maybe some of you know, I am on a long business trip in Mang Den, a mountain town in Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province, about 300km from Da Nang city. During the week I work at Mang Den and can only return to visit Da Nang where I live with my wife on weekends. Actually, working far away makes me miss my family and Da Nang city. So we always want to have quality time together on the weekends. This Sunday my wife and I decided to spend time together at Green Lake.
Green Lake is a beautiful lake in the Son Tra peninsula of Da Nang. The reason it has such a name is because its water is green all year round and it is also surrounded by surrounding green forests. That's also why me and my wife chose to go there. We want to enjoy some fresh air and have some time together before starting the new work week.
A special feature of Green Lake is that it has a high cliff, and on that high cliff there is a wide green lawn where we can look down on Green Lake, the East Sea and the panorama of Da Nang city. Today is Sunday afternoon, so many people come here to have chill time with their family and friends. Many people have also chosen this place as the destination for their cycling and running sessions. I'm sure they picked a great destination for their exercises.
My wife loves to enjoy the fresh air of the surrounding area. She seems to have had an enjoyable time interacting with the crickets, grasshoppers, and butterflies that are common on this lawn. And I like to go around to take pictures of nature. This lawn can be said to be the kingdom of balck-jack flowers, chrysopogon flowers and scutch grass. They can be found everywhere here and form a beautiful lawn for this area.
There is also a pretty high cliff here, so I decided to climb it. It's been a long time since I went on a business trip. It would be fun to do it again. My wife has said I have the cliff-climbing skills of a mountain goat. You know, climbing cliffs can seem pretty dangerous, but it's fun to challenge yourself once in a while, isn't it? From the cliff I got a better panoramic view of the surrounding area. I was able to look down at Green Lake, the East Sea and the beautiful panorama of Danang city. In the afternoon, the wind from the East Sea made us feel even cooler. Definitely Green Lake is our right choice for a great Sunday.

What a lovely lot of photos of a beautiful place!.... You can see that it is a beautifully vegetated and well-kept spot... It amazes me how close you can see the city from there and yet the place is so natural!.... On the other hand, those close-up photos of the plants and the path are charming...
