The Weekend: Korean eats and a Bastard of a Question + #DashoutSunday

Blessed new week to yah.
Last Saturday reminded me of the days not too long ago when I was younger with less responsibilities, no commitments and drank way too much. ( I still drink way too much 😂).
The Saturday night started with my bro ( left) and I taking this lady out to dinner as she is new to Japan and has never been to an izakaya. My bro really enjoyed chatting with the Aussie lady as he stayed in the country doing homestay and working holiday years ago. I can imagine his nostalgic feeling. Unfortunately there will be no romance from this relationship as our friend here is happily married to another woman. She came to Japan to coach softball as she is a professional and was recruited to teach/coach at a local high school and do all that diplomatically good stuff.
Interestingly, our Aussie friend also plays on a local club team at times. Here is how I found out.
So I step outside for a second to have a e-smoke 💨 and see a group of about 5 girls doing the same ( don’t judge us). I say “konbanwa ( good evening ) to them and they reply. One of them then says:
“That woman at your table, she is Stephanie right? The softball 🥎 coach ?
“yeah, how did you know?”
“We are on the same softball club team”
“Oh cool, go say hi to her at the table and also do me a favor, the guy sitting next to her is Naoki, say his name as if you know him so he can be surprised and wonder wtf.”
As the night went on I see the girls again outside but this time I was chatting to some dudes ( I’m just friendly like that) then they came after. The conversation quickly got sexual and intense with me asking the two other dudes, in-front of the 5 ladies which one would they want to take home.( the ladies were super eager to hear the answers ). At first they played the gentleman role and refused to play into my drunkard game. But then they flipped the question on me, but I quickly responded:
“I’d choose her”
To which the target replied.
“Oh that makes me happy”
😂 Not quite the response I was expecting. Eventually I pressured the other guys to answer the question and they did. After a long drawn out but humours group convo, the ladies left as they were waiting on their Daiko ( designate driver for hire). I went back to my table feeling a little scummy about how I steered the convo. Cause if the shoe was on the other foot, it definitely would feel awkward. It was fun in the moment though.
On to the next spot : New Korean Bar/restaurant
It’s been a minute since I checked out some nightlife and I wasn’t gonna let the night end so early ( it was around 10:00 pm). Another friend joined us at the izakaya late as he had to take care of business. So as the four of us left I suggested we checked out this new Korean place that I pass almost everyday.
The two in the picture, went home and the friend that came late, we went to the Korean place to have “one drink” ( that’s what they always say right?)
We ended up ordering some food as seen below : Korean Seafood pancakes, beef calbi with the bones and we got fried chicken and this sweet cake thingy for free. Forgive my lack of knowledge of these Korean dishes but they were great. Alright , shit! Let me go research them and be right back even though this post is getting way too long.
Something interesting happened here. Well actually two things. My friend and neighbor who owns a salon started giving them marketing ideas for the Korean restaurant that’s open in the day and night but seems to have the look and feel of a night pub. The owner was intrigued and gave us a lot of free treats. Her friend and what seemed like the owner’s business advisor also kept on pouring the Chivas Regal.
The Chivas lady also did a bit of palm reading and read our palms. I won’t go into details of that but she basically said my friend has a big inheritance coming to which he scoffed as he says his family is broker than broke. But I feel this dude will be wealthy.
In my situation she said I’m good at making and saving money 💰 but it can easily be gone as I like to help people out. Yup. Now where is that dude here on HIVE that owes me some tokens? She had the best advice, when people come asking to borrow money or in need just say fvk em. And it makes perfect sense. I already have kids to take care of 😆.
And here is the business advisor pouring more Chivas. The money, well she wouldn’t accept being paid for the drinks she was serving us, so I offered her a tip, no I did not put it on her head, that was her idea.😆.

Regarding the advisor, she also wasn't keen on being photographed hence the hand over face.
