We often need to protect our hands from certain tasks at home, at work, and even from the cold. That is why I am bringing you a super simple tutorial on how to make gloves at home using simple materials and fabric that we can reuse.

Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive, espero que se encuentren super bien. Tengo el gusto de presentarles un tutorial rapido, sencillo y que puede ser muy util en casa. Muchas veces necesitamos cuidar nuestras manos de ciertas tareas en el hogar, en el trabajo y hasta del mismo frio. Es por ello, que les traigo un tutorial super sencillo de como hacer un guante con materiales sencillos en casa y con tela que podemos reutilizar.

Es por ello que he realizado un guante partiendo de un sueter viejo que tenia en casa, espero que les guste.

Materials - Materiales

• Fabric (old sweater, or any other fabric or material that is suitable for making gloves)

• Scissors

• Sewing machine (you can also make the gloves by hand with a needle and thread)

• Pattern or template on cardboard or paper

• Tela ( Sueter viejo, o cualquier otra tela o material que se adapte a la funcionalidad del guante)

• Tijera

• Maquina de coser ( Tambien pueden hacer los guantes a mano con hilo y aguja)

• Patron o melde de mano en cartulina u hoja

Step By Step - Paso a Paso

We must take the pattern that in this case has come out of the mold of my hands (I have long hands). It is important that we leave enough seam allowance, since we cannot make it exactly to the size of our hands, because if we do, when we sew it will be too tight.

Debemos tomar el patron que en este caso ha salido del molde de mis manos, (Tengo manos largas). Es importante que dejemos suficiente margen de costura, ya que no podemos hacerlo muy exacto al tamaño de nuestras manos, ya que si lo hacemos al momento de coser quedaria muy ajustado.

We must cut out 4 equal pieces!

Debemos recortar 4 piezas iguales!

Then we must match both gloves with their corresponding pair.

Luego debemos hacer coincidir ambos guantes con su par correspondiente.

Finally, we proceed to sew, leaving a safe seam allowance. Once we have sewn, we must remove any remaining threads from the seam to avoid discomfort.

Por ultimo procedemos a coser dejando el margen seguro de costura. Una vez que cosemos debemos eliminar los hilos restantes que tiene la costura para evitar incomodidad.

This is the result. I hope you like the idea, as you can also make gloves for the cold season. If you use a stronger or thicker material, you can make them for heavier work.

Este es el resultado, espero que les guste la idea ya que también pueden hacer guantes para la época del frio, si utilizan un material mas fuerte o grueso pueden hacer para labores de trabajos más fuertes.
