The lost lake - Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 38

They say bamboo is just grass, is soft and pliable. But it was hard work to cross the forest of grass. Then, when I stood on the shore of this hidden lake and saw the clouds drifting on its surface, I knew it was worth it.
On the opposite shore, I recognized the beacon visible from afar and the huge tree that is my real destination.
To swim through this lake seems hopeless, too big and the steep bank of the opposite side looks insurmountable, I will probably have to walk around the outside.

Man sagt, Bambus ist nur Gras, ist weich und biegsam. Aber es war eine harte Arbeit, den Wald aus Gras zu durchqueren. Als ich dann am Ufer dieses versteckten Sees stand und die Wolken auf dessen Oberfläche ziehen sah, wusste ich, dass es sich gelohnt hat.
Am gegenüberliegenden Ufer erkannte ich das weithin sichtbare Leuchtfeuer und den riesigen Baum, der mein eigentliches Ziel ist.
Diesen See zu durchschwimmen erscheint mir aussichtslos, zu groß und das Steilufer der gegenüberliegenden Seite sieht unüberwindlich aus, ich werde wohl außen herum laufen müssen.

So perhaps a wingless blackbird thinks, I photographed only a puddle, a marker post of a gas line and a crippled wild plum.

So denkt vielleicht eine flügellahme Amsel, ich habe nur ein Pfütze, ein Markierungspfahl einer Gasleitung und eine verkrüppelte wilde Pflaume fotografiert.
