¡Gente bonita! Hoy quiero hablarles de algo que aprendí gracias a la danza y tengo el ejemplo perfecto para mostrárselos desde mi experiencia. Hoy hablaremos de la interpretación en una danza, más específicamente en un ballet.
Beautiful people! Today I want to talk to you about something I learned thanks to dance and I have the perfect example to show you from my experience. Today we will talk about the interpretation in a dance, more specifically in a ballet.
Cuando nosotros vamos a ver una presentación de baile donde la música de fondo no tiene letra la interpretación personal es lo que termina de hacer o crear un mensaje para el público, cada quien interpreta diferente y crea su propia historia en lo que se está bailando y eso me parece genial.
When we go to see a dance performance where the background music has no lyrics, the personal interpretation is what ends up making or creating a message for the audience, everyone interprets differently and creates their own story in what is being danced and I think that's great.
A mi me ha pasado varias veces, donde también existen casos que no se entiende el mensaje y quedo es confundida sin poder analizar bien que quisieron decir, pero hoy le quiero contar una de esas veces que yo interprete de dos maneras diferentes una presentación que tenía diferente coreografías pero la misma música.
It has happened to me several times, where there are also cases where the message is not understood and I am confused without being able to analyze well what they meant, but today I want to tell you about one of those times that I interpreted in two different ways a presentation that had different choreographies but the same music.
En mi caso me sucedió con mi ballet favorito "El Cascanueces" pues, se volvió mi favorito por varias razones, yo personalmente lo bailé mucho en diferentes papeles y llegue a verlo en otras versiones, también me sé la música al 100%, tipo se que pasa en cada escena solo con escuchar la música jajaja pero hay una en particular que se que es normalmente lo que pasa pero gracias a mi escuela de ballet la interpreto de otra manera, aquí se las dejo.
In my case it happened to me with my favorite ballet "The Nutcracker" well, it became my favorite for several reasons, I personally danced it a lot in different roles and got to see it in other versions, I also know the music 100%, I know what happens in each scene just by listening to the music hahaha but there is one in particular that I know what normally happens but thanks to my ballet school I interpret it differently, here I leave them.
Siendo sincera, no quería hacer este post porque para explicar de verdad lo que siento cuando escucho esta pieza SOLO LO PUEDO INTERPRETAR CON MI CUERPO Y PALABRAS JAJA, así que si alguien quiere ser mi amigo y aguantarse este post de manera más épica que me escriba JAJAJA, igual lo explicaré de la mejor manera que pueda.
Being honest, I didn't want to make this post because to truly explain what I feel when I hear this piece I CAN ONLY INTERPRET IT WITH MY BODY AND WORDS HAHAHAHA, so if anyone wants to be my friend and endure this post in a more epic way write me HAHAHAHAHA, I'll still explain it the best way I can.
La coreografía original | The original choreography
Como pueden ver en el video, es una pieza bellísima donde en realidad solo es un baile en pareja, la coreografía es impresionante y difícil pero cuando se trata de contar algo no esta pasando nada, la verdad es que solamente está pasando eso porque se hizo una fiesta entre los reinos y todos están bailando una pieza para celebrar y en este caso son la Reina del Azúcar con su pareja.
As you can see in the video, it is a beautiful piece where it is really just a couple dance, the choreography is impressive and difficult but when it comes to tell something nothing is happening, the truth is that only that is happening because there was a party between the kingdoms and everyone is dancing a piece to celebrate and in this case are the Sugar Plum with her partner.
La coreografía según mi escuela de ballet | Choreography according to my ballet school
En mi escuela siempre había problemas con los varones, pues no teníamos a ninguno y solo alcanzaba el dinero para contratar a un solo bailarín que terminaba siendo el personaje del Cascanueces, y eso obligó a mi profesora a cambiar un poco la historia o recortarla haciendo que mi primer cascanueces en toda mi vida fuera hasta MÁS diferente que el que veía en las películas de Barbie JAJAJA. Esa pieza que les dejé allí, como es larga fue el final de nuestro cascanueces pero no significa que la Reina de Azúcar bailaba y todo terminaba NOOOOO mi profesora le dio un giro de interpretación a esa pieza de manera INCREÍBLE que de verdad yo siempre voy a admirar, le dio una interpretación de final triste, se los explicaré con los minutos del video (espero me sigan jeje).
In my school there were always problems with boys, because we didn't have any and we only had enough money to hire one dancer who ended up being the Nutcracker character, and that forced my teacher to change the story a little bit or cut it making my first nutcracker in my whole life to be even MORE different than the one I saw in Barbie movies HAHAHAHAHA. That piece that I left there, as it is long was the end of our nutcracker but it doesn't mean that the Sugar Plum danced and everything was over NOOOOOOO my teacher gave a twist of interpretation to that piece in an AMAZING way that I will always admire, she gave it a sad ending interpretation, I will explain it with the minutes of the video (I hope you follow me hehe).
Desde el inicio de esta pieza Clara y el Cascanueces están bailando en pareja, hasta que llega el minuto 2:28 donde ellos se separan por un momento y el tío (en nuestro caso tía) Drosselmeyer le dice a clara de alguna manera "Es tiempo que despiertes de tu sueño" y Clara no quiere, pues a partir de allí hasta el minuto más o menos 3:46 ella empieza a tratar de alejarse de su tío pero no puede, los demás personajes no se los permite, intentan que ella entre en razón.
From the beginning of this piece Clara and the Nutcracker are dancing as a couple, until minute 2:28 where they separate for a moment and uncle (in our case aunt) Drosselmeyer tells Clara somehow "It's time for you to wake up from your dream" and Clara doesn't want to, because from there until about minute 3:46 she starts trying to get away from her uncle but she can't, the other characters don't allow her to do it, they try to make her come to her senses.
Ya al llegar ese minuto 3:46 Clara muy triste empieza a llorar pero el Cascanueces aparece de nuevo para que tengan su último baile... MIREN... PIENSEN EN ESTO MIENTRAS ESCUCHAN LA CANCIÓN Y ME ENTENDERÁN, de verdad se puede notar como la música se puede interpretar triste y desesperada. El minuto 4:12 es mi favorito, porque de verdad todo empeora, el cascanueces se va, Clara se desespera Y BOOM TODO EXPLOTA Y CLARA CAE TRISTE. De allí ella empieza a sentir que de verdad todo está cambiando, está despertando de su sueño y BOOM 5:19 suena como el cambio surge... se ve que el cascanueces una vez más era solo un muñeco, Clara igual es feliz por tener esos hermosos recuerdos y se despide. Les juro que baile esta pieza antes de terminar este post JAJAJA.
Already at minute 3:46 Clara starts to cry very sadly but the Nutcracker appears again so they can have their last dance... LOOK... THINK ABOUT THIS WHILE LISTENING TO THE SONG AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND ME, you can really feel how the music can be interpreted as sad and desperate. Minute 4:12 is my favorite, because everything really gets worse, the nutcracker leaves, Clara gets desperate AND BOOM EVERYTHING EXPLODES AND CLARA FALLS SAD. From there she starts to feel that everything is really changing, she is waking up from her dream and BOOM 5:19 sounds like the change comes... it is seen that the nutcracker once again was just a doll, Clara is still happy to have those beautiful memories and says goodbye. I swear I danced to this piece before I finished this post HAHAHAHAHA.
Conclusión | Conclusion
¿Ven como un cambio de coreografía pudo hacer otra interpretación? Siempre la de mi academia será mi favorita solo porque estás interpretando cada pedazo de la pieza que dura muchísimo la verdad y es hermosísima. Es más difícil ver estos cambios cuando son canciones con letras pero si se puede lograr igual, la danza es un mundo muy grande y lleno de ideas jaja.
Do you see how a change of choreography could make another interpretation? My academy's will always be my favorite just because you are interpreting every piece of the piece that lasts a long time and it's really beautiful. It is more difficult to see these changes when they are songs with lyrics but you can do it anyway, dance is a big world full of ideas haha.
