Try Phone Panning Photography in the Rainy Day

Learning photography does not also have to have a DSLR camera, with makeshift equipment we can also try to learn various aspects of photography. For example, using a smartphone camera, especially now that smart phones already have camera features that are better than a decade ago.

Today it happened to be raining all day in my city, so as a photography lover, of course I can't go anywhere to take pictures.

I also tried Panning Photography using a Smartphone from the front of my shop. Panning photography itself is a way of taking pictures of fast-moving objects, such as passing vehicles, people running and so on.

At first I changed my smartphone camera settings from auto mode to manual/pro. Then I lowered the smallest ISO (ISO 100) and Shutter speed at 1/30 to 1/60, depending on the speed of the object you want to shoot.

Next, I direct the smartphone to the road and lock the object that I want to shoot while moving the smartphone to follow the moving object. And the results are quite pleasant, especially using a smartphone camera. Well, here are the results of a number of Phone Panning photography that I got.

The most important part in panning is how you position your camera to follow the direction of motion of your photo object.

After the initial preparations have been made, once the object reaches you, move your cellphone camera in the direction of the object's movement. While aiming the camera, press the shutter.

Panning photos will take some practice, especially if you're using a cell phone camera. So, don't give up easily if your first try fails. Remember, there is still a chance to try again.
