(Introductory Post) Amazing Mom and Aspiring Content Writer @ 50

Hello everyone! I’m Lyn Salapuddin from the land of promise Davao City Philippines. I’m the 9th child in 10 children of our abundant family. Since childhood, we learned the value of hard work, perseverance, faith in God, and pursuing a degree in school. This is also what I instill in my 2 children. Our daughter graduated cum laude in BS-Entrepreneurship on one of the prestigious university here in our city. She is already successful in her chosen field as Medical and Healthcare Virtual Assistant to her direct client in US. Our youngest son who is in Grade 7 is doing well in his studies. I am an accomplished private employee for 26 years in a telecommunication company while my husband is a retired navy. I decided to retire 3 years ago and since cooking is one my hobbies, I pursue a small restaurant business. Last month, my husband and I decided to cease the business due to economic situation that effects the higher prices on commodities. While browsing on facebook for possible additional side hassle, I discovered this post on sure income on freelance writing. I love reading and writing since I was in elementary but my passion was hampered when I got all the buzz in the corporate world. This made me excited in pursuing this content writing and blogging because my innate passion is slowly reviving. I love to share new things, new discoveries, meet new people in a community and establish connections. Hats off to my new mentor @antonette @chinito for unwavering patience in answering all my queries and opening my mind to the possibilities of exploring this new platform. Thank you to my loving and supportive husband, my daughter who is my motivator and keeps on inspiring me to write again, and to my adorable and ever eloquent son who makes me believe that everything is possible even I’m in my golden age of 50.

Captured moments when I was working in a corporate industry and until I became an entrepreneur where I fully expanded my talents and skills. I was able to showcase my creativity and originality.

Celebrating my golden milestone in life is so fulfilling that started with self care and full of gratitude. More bonding moments and spending quality time with my family. As a career shift, I am now more excited to pursue my passion in writing and to open my horizon in meeting new friends and acquaintances in Hive community.
