Currently, organizations are resisting the strong pressures of market competitiveness in order to maintain and resist, having to carry out a continuous process of alertness, adjustment and adaptation to the elements of the business environment.

Based on the above considerations, Chiavenato (2009) points out that core competencies "represent the set of skills and technologies associated with organizational resources and processes that are applied in an integrated and convergent manner".

In other words, they are represented by the skills and capabilities of the people who, together with the organizational resources, ensure through effective leadership to achieve the competitiveness required by the company.

For this, it is important to count on the organizational effectiveness that emerges as time goes by and experience improves. In fact, this process can only be achieved with the support of the talents that are part of the organization because their behavior has a significant effect on the achievement of the established goals, since this process is a function of people.

All the aforementioned allows inferring that before initiating any administrative action, it is essential to determine the results that the social group intends to achieve, as well as the future conditions and the necessary elements for it to function efficiently.

This can only be achieved through the essential competencies of the organization, which represent the different ways in which production skills are coordinated and the multiple technological currents are integrated. It implies communication, participation and commitment to the company and the established objectives, which ensure the highest competitiveness.

Conclusion:

The use of core competencies in organizations increases the skills at the human being level, as well as their job satisfaction, being ready at all times to changes that lead to better results of the organization.

There are many companies that do not take into account the essential competencies as a key element for the achievement of organizational effectiveness, bringing as consequences little coordination in the production activities, deficiencies in the integration processes and deficient communicational processes. However, those that do take core competencies into account are organizations that are on the road to continued success.
