Tiny Mini Bunny - easy DIY needlework how to
Hello, friends especially needleworkers!
Like usually I spent myself doing craft and foodie hobby yesterday, and then I have this tiny mini bunny as the result. It took a long time but I am happy with the result. And now I would like to share how I made it.
Project Time: approximately 7-8 hours
Difficulty: Quite difficult for me
Skills Needed:
- French knot
- Whipped stitch
- Blanket stitch
- Back stitch
Materials & things needed:
- Pencil
- Felt fabrics in brown, white, black, soft pink, green, yellow, and blue
- Scissors (small craft scissors and a larger one, paper scissors)
- Embroidery floss
- Sewing needle
- Filling stuff (dacron fiber)
How to make it:
1ST
I drew oval shape on the white felt. Cut it off, then copied one. After that I cut a smaller brown spot.
2ND
Then, I cut two black oval eyes, two small green leaves, a pink circle, and two yellow circles.
3RD
I also cut of two long ear with brown and the area inside it with pink. The face parts were all cut off.
4TH
Then I measured the oval because I would make a trapezoid dress with blue felt. Cut it off too. I also made two of it.
5TH
I also cut the pink collar and small yellow pocket for it. Oh no, the dress was too long, I trimmed it a bit.
6TH
I then cut off the two white hands, a brown leg and a white leg.
7TH
Next I whipped stitch the eyes, then embroidered the mouth with back stitch.
8TH
I also made a small heart shape pink nose then whipped stitched it. Then made two small french knots for the cheek.
9TH
Then I back stitched the small leaves, then french knots the yellow and pink flowers like below. After that I prepared the dress by whipped stitch the collar and also pocket on it.
10TH
Next I joined the head and the dress, with whipped stitch.
11TH
After that, I joined the back and front part with the blanket stitch and whipped stitch (for the ears). Then I put the filling stuff inside the head.
12TH
Then I sew the bottom part of the head, then put some filling for the dress too. I closed it with blanket stitch and whipped stitch, I also slipped the hands and legs to it.

VOILA, now this super cute tiny mini bunny is made. I found that it became more than I had expected.
Do you think it is cute?

You really have a hand for these cute little animals. I love that you gave the bunny two different colored legs and that these colors are matched in the eyes.
Thank you for sharing.
I am so glad you love it and thanks for the compliment @neumannsalva, your words support me to make more small cute animals :). Any ideas?
I think you are so skilled can turn anything into something cute… and I have a hard time to choose an animal. I guess I love everything that has a fur but there some very unusual one, which are extra sweet but I am very unsure if they are doable in fabric like a baby tapir (so cuuuute) or a wombat (did I say cuuuute). But i also I also love hamster, squirrels and guinea pigs… You see I really fall for furry tiny animals 😍
Thanks :) and thank you for your suggestion, i am considering one to make in the future
Well detailed and beautiful outcome, thanks for sharing @devyleona
