Hello, friends especially foodies!
I am sure that all of us have our own favorite food, maybe some have many favorite food while some others just have less kind of favorite food… For me as a foodie, I have many kind of favorite food, one that I love most is teppanyaki. So when recently I went alone, I didn’t miss an opportunity to have this favorite food and I enjoyed it alone.
When I arrived at the food court where the food stall which sold teppanyaki located, it was just around 11 am, so it wasn’t lunch time yet. No wonder the food court was still mostly empty. But wait a minute, if you went to the food stall where the teppanyaki sold, its’ name Koi Teppanyaki, there were customers before me! They had their teppanyaki right in front of the stove where the chef usually cooks.
Well in this teppanyaki stall, you could order their teppanyaki sets which mean you got the teppanyaki with the rice, soup, vegetable and tofu. The variants of teppanyaki they offered were slice beef, squid, fish fillet, prawn, chicken, sirloin, tenderloin, seafood combo, beef or chicken and seafood combo, salmon and squid, salmon and chicken, salmon and beef, salmon and prawn or just salmon. Also they offered some package with garlic chilli paste and added extra chicken shewmay or chicken katsu cutlet or mala chicken shewmay or chicken eggroll. Beside teppanyaki, they also had two kind of rice bowl, beef and eggroll or chicken and eggroll. And for the side dish, they also had dumplings.
There, in the food stall you could see the chef cook for you right in front of you. They had a wide surface of the cooker right in front of you. And the making process could be well seen. Usually the chef would start with the beef, stir it with the seasoning, then he closed it and he started to cut and stir the vegetable there too. He put the seasoning and water to it. When he finished with the vegetable then he continued to cook the beef then they were all finished.
Well their beef teppanyaki set included slice beef teppanyaki, two kind of vegetables, pakcoy and beansprout, tofu, miso soup and rice. Like usually their teppanyaki always make me satisfied. Their sliced beef teppanyaki had sweet savory flavour, thick little soup like it usually, cause it was stirred. The sliced beef were soft. For their vegetables, it had light savory flavour with natural flavour of the vegetables, the pakcoy were still crunchy while the beansprouts were luckily cooked well (I don’t like half cooked and raw bean sprouts). Their miso soup didn’t have thick miso flavour and it was a bit sour.
Eventhough I was alone, I enjoyed my food that day!

Yes you are right, there you could watch how the chef makes our teppanyaki. Great that you also enjoy teppanyaki! We have the same taste :)

I think it would be great to have a little more carrot. Or that I am satisfied with the variation with creativity.
It's really simple and takes a lot of rice.

We make it ourselves at home and the beef is quick dry with some shredded carrots. I wouldn't dare call that creation teppanyaki.
