Luck And Preparation

There's an old saying that the harder you work, the luckier you get. There's so much truth to that statement, because the fact is that if you're not prepared to take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves to you - then it becomes harder to be lucky, and successful in what you do.

Thus, it all boils down to how prepared you are should a great opportunity come your way. Some really wealthy people have defined luck as when opportunity meets preparation. There's something about giving your all to your business or something of value that drives you - that high level of preparation.

When you give your all in preparation, your chances of been lucky gets higher. Let's just imagine this scenario - someone spends like 6 hours every day practicing throwing a basketball into the net. If such a person is given 10 chances to score the net, the tendency is that he/she will score a good number.

Let's compare such a person to someone who has not thrown a basketball for like 4 years, or someone who is very unfamiliar with throwing balls into the net or an inconsistent person who practices once in a long while. In the end, both persons need luck to score the net, but the person who prepares more will tend to be luckier at doing so.

This let's us know that whatever we all do, we need luck to excel. But there will be no way for luck to work for you if you're not preparing yourself, and putting in the work. It's only when you commit yourself to what you doing, and prepare really harder and harder, do you tend to get luckier.

Thanks for taking time to read!
