THE TEE FORMULA - YOUR TIME CANNOT BE MANAGED

We have 24 hours a day and I would say 16 hours of awake time. What we do with it is really important especially for someone like me who is working for more that just earning momentarily. There are a lot of things I want to do daily but I have to bear in mind that I’m human and would require rest.
The Concept Of Time
Time is irreplaceable. Abstract. It is a gift. When one is given time, he is expected to maximize it not manage it because time can’t be managed. Time can’t be saved. Time can only be maximized.
Just today, I had a rather long conversation with someone about the concept of time management where we got talking about Habits, environment and other time related factors. In essence, we both came to the conclusion that Time as a subject matter is very sensitive and touches many areas of our lives whether we realize it or not.
It takes time to develop a habit/lifestyle, to make friends and really keep them, to build a relationship with someone, to learn a discipline, etc. The currency that is exchanged between an individual and his future is time. Time will tell if he learned the right things, made the right decisions, connected to the right people and essentially, time reveals what a person becomes. Who they are.
On my mark: Time waits for no one
One mistake we make is trying to manage time. Time, like money, is a currency and you can only maximize. In this case, the question that greets me is what I should spend more time doing.
In The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John C. Maxwell, I learned that doing a lot doesn’t mean you’re productive. It is actually better to do one or two things with 80% effort power than doing 10 things with 30% or less effort power which inevitably amounts to a waste of time. This also translates to setting your priorities straight and giving your best instead of your strength.
As a person, I can say that I need more than 24 hours in a day. But… 24 hours were given for a reason. We as humans have been equipped with every amour or bodily gift needed to really deal with time. I have learned that if I would make most of my time, I would need to stop limiting myself, stop making excuses and start doing. The truth is pressure will always be there. We shouldn’t let that limit us though.
What I should do more often.
Reading: I don’t think I read enough even if I can finish a book within two days. The main exercise to reading is the implementing. Knowledge is useless if you can’t use it. So, I always look forward to how I can practice things I read.

Writing: I don’t write as much as I used to anymore and that’s partly because of work and school. After reading, the best way to actually retain knowledge and information is to write. When we write, the brain makes a memo. It is actually easier to recall what has been written down than what is just spilled off the top of our heads. There’s this saying, “The faintest ink is more powerful than the strongest memory”.
Learning: Learning in itself is a whole universe of robust skills. To learn, one must first learn the art of humility. You can’t learn if you feel you know it all. Life can teach you from all angles. Which is why I feel that I don’t devote enough time to learning.
Overall, I want time to grow as a person but that is something I’ll have to create myself. I would need to learn how to maximize what I have.
Conclusion
Time can’t be saved. It can only be spent. Time can’t be managed. It can only be maximized. Time is the currency exchange for many areas of our lives. Time is an invaluable asset.

I like to think of life as a series of projects...
People underestimate time.
However one of the bibles out there ...
PMBOK® - A Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge
has 10 areas of knowledge...
Number 3 Project Time Management
They fail to plan time and oh yeah project fails ... and life yeah that project goes off track unless time management sorted.
Wow. Great philosopher. But it’s true. When one fails to plan adequately, they lose focus and soon, VOOM! They’re off track in their Lamborghini to disaster😅
Ah yes a Lambo disaster!
This is an intellectual work. Thank you so much @deraaa. I enjoyed reading through..:
My pleasure ❤️
👍
And maximize the time I shall, to the nitty gritty seconds😅
Lovely post @deraaa a reminder on how we can maximize the use of time which indeed will go a long way as time is spent whether we choose to do something about it or not- it just keeps going.
It does. And it's sad that we think that we can still save time😂
Humans are never satisfied with anything, we always want more even when we have enough. Time is one of the things that can never be enough and as you have said, we must maximize the use of time.
Someone once told me that time isn't going anywhere, we are the once ageing. It's best when we use our time appropriately while we can to avoid regret in the long run.
Everything you want to improve on with time is important and in the end, I see them adding value to you one way or the other.
Me too. Oh and I like that line. We are the ones aging. Getting closer to our graves. I do wonder if we do realize the weight of this or if we're just normalizing it?
The concept of Time as you have rightly stated in this post shows how much we (or should I say I) try to manage time or even think we can manage it when we are supposed to use every second we get.
In the real sense, we use every second we get, we don't just use it to consciously do the things we are supposed to do, and when we discover we no longer have as much time as we thought we did, we begin to find ways to manage it until we totally run out of time with the feeling of guilt, unsatisfaction, and excuses
True! That's when we think we can multitask and end up not doing anything at all.
It's unfortunate that maximizing time still needs a lot of learning to do in a world filled with confusion
Confusion! We are always stuck on what to do next. And sometimes we end up doing nothing at all
Thank you 😊
He is one of my favorites authors. The first time I read him was actually the very first time such type of book to the end. The book was titled "thinking for a change".
Time actually waits for no man. The faster we learn to maximize it, the better it would be for us.
I think I have come across that book but yet to read it. Maximizing time is not easy at all. Lol. Today, all I did was maximize sleep!
This make the two of us😂. The rain made my sleep even better.
Haha, that's right. If we want something to grow, we have to be it creator. Time waitt for no man and maximizing time is all we can do, pheew . . I wish it can be saved☺️☺️☺️.
This also reminds me of the movie, Time.
I waltzed in from #dreemport for I am a #dreemer. An awesomely made #dreemerforlife 💪.
Time is a movie? What’s it about?
If time can be saved, I’ll be a stingy millionaire because I’ll just be saving and never using😂
Well, you need to see the movie then. Let me see if I can get the wallpaper of it.
I have heard some people say that 24 hours aren't enough anymore for them in a day meanwhile, if you check very well, some people aren't using their time on top priorities and that's why I am agreeing with you on this statement below 👇
I love how you expressed your thoughts in this subject. I got value Deraa
Thanks for sharing

I learn from people who have more priorities. Like you and others. How do you all cope with being parents, responsibilities on Hive (some even work) and still dish out amazing contents?! Like. Me that is writing about the time management is baffled.
Smiles...as for me Deraa, I know nothing 🤦. Most times, finding balance ⚖️ is my biggest challenge. However I try to make sure that both my work and my family duties do not suffer much but I must admit that I sacrifice some pleasures most times to meet up but on a good day, I overlook work and pamper myself
I've read a few posts on Hive talking about "should we be good in many areas but with a C or have an A in one area?" and that kept me wondering which I'd want to be.
But when I looked at my life, I'm a jack of all trades 🥲 so the best I can do with my time is find a balance... Not easy but worth it.
I also need to find time to read, I'm lagging behind on that area.
Nicely written dear, came in from #dreemport
Sister ehn. You hit the nail on the head. I have to tether myself to electric shock so that I can at least get one thing done.
Lol don't shock yourself too much though 😅
Time is one of the unchanging force of this universe, it is irresponsible, abstract and yes time touches every aspect of live as you said, it touches every cord area of life, we need time to grow, heal, live, survive, project, product.
It's better to spend time doing two things with 80% effort power then 10% thing with 30% or less effort power...I also think people do have this difficulties balancing time with working, schooling and even on hive...so first of all find that balance, then place time on those things you feel like improving _ like yeah reading more, writing effectively, and learning with humility.
Awesome writing up...it really got me on the right track.
Thank you for this wonderful comment!
Time is precious and fleeting and should be used wisely. We must be intentional with our time in order to make the most of it. Every moment should be used to its fullest potential. We often find ourselves trying to cram more into each day than is humanly possible.
We all have the same 24 hours in a day, but some people are able to achieve more than others because they are more intentional with their time. They prioritize tasks and focus on the important things first. When we maximize our time, we can accomplish more and live a more meaningful life.
