Let me begin by stating that I am not really a social person. I run from all things commitment and relationships because they make me feel vulnerable. I can literally ghost someone when they've gotten too close and this is bad. I know. Yet, there are people who have left impact on me. People I crave...

A certain mad Scotman

I don't know how it happened. I can't even remember the details. All I know is that I met someone who would mean a lot to me.

Well, I would not know at first as it started in a rather quirky way. I was drawn to his charm and amazing personality. I was enamored by his free spirit and ability to turn a serious situation into a joke.

His humor is almost zero but that's what makes him the most humorous person I have ever met. Throw in a couple of crazies and chocolate and you have a man whose crazy about ducks and cats.

I do wonder about his creative process. He sets his mind to something and he achieves it. He was very much a friend when I needed one. I'd go ghost for days, running from responsibilities and failures. Closing up to people but he was right there at the door, with a brick and donuts. The brick to break down the door, the donut as comfort food.

He is happy when I am happy. And he always wants to know how my day is going. What interests me. How he could help. And what makes this all the more beautiful is that is just how he is. He is warm to everyone not just me. He would willingly discomfort himself to help someone else.

And he doesn't push. He isn't trying to be my savior although he can be a smartass. What he tries to be is a friend and a pretty badass one.

Oh sorry. I forgot to mention the man of the hour @tengolotodo. He has been there both on and off chain. And I couldn't love him more than I do. I value him and always will.

Like I said, I don't remember how we met.

A certain Dreem-pimp

The second person is someone we all know. She got rainbow socks as a gift because of her personality. I remember when my friend talked animatedly about her. I'd just started finding my way around Hive then.

The way he talked, I just needed to know who this person was. So I began to stalk…erm! Uh…peruse her profile. And I saw what he saw. Well, some of it. I was still trying to wrap my head around how she was so shiny. I mean, her tone of writing sounded so happy and I had doubts.

Then I get closer. She sends me a link to one of her videos and like the sap I am, I watch it. About three times because she was just zinging with life. Something that I wasn't really feeling then.

Soon, I'm roped up into Dreemport and on discord we get to chat and it feels great to not be judged. When we talk, there's no judging. She listens and gives genuine advice to the best of her ability. She didn't tell me things that'll make me feel better but she told me the truth that'll make me see better.

@dreemsteem pretty much became a huge part of my life and my Mom's. Mom asks after her and it's just sweet to see my mother show interest in someone that is not me. Of course, I'm grateful for who she is and I thank God for her. I hope she continues to touch the heart of people.

A certain Lovely Belle

I can not end this post without @samsmith1971. I love this woman. I just love her. I have no words because even when she's carrying a boulder, she'll still try to help with your rocks! She is a soul born from pure kindness and bred with love.

I don't know all of her life's story but Sam has been someone who I always bring up when I talk about Hive. She's one person I look up to because it's not everyday you find someone who's willing to still help you through the pain in the midst of their battles.

That is a friend. I love how chatty she can get. When I send Sam a Hi, i just burst with joy when she just begins to talk to me. In Length!!! I love how she goes about her day and her boys. I love how she isn't afraid to be who she is. I just love her! I do. And Sam, I love how you like to help others. I love how you put others first, how you're not afraid to give a huge piece of you. I love you and I mean it!

Happy Valentine's (Friendship) Day to these three who've made my days on and off chain brighter. I love you all.

Like I said, I can't remember the details of how we met, but they've left such a huge mark on me. I wouldn't change it for anything.
