I welcome you to my blog where I'll take the time to answer a few questions by HiveNaija given in their prompt.
Before I go further, I want to extend my warm regards to Ukrainians going through this tough period. My biggest wish is for you all to have strength and that you'll be strengthened as you go. I hope that this shall pass with minimal losses and that aid comes faster than expected. Amen!
War is never good. I never thought there'll come a day I'll see it for myself. I've not really been consistent with the news but I do get tidbits even when I don't wish to.
Now, back to the prompt. These are the few questions organized by the community. I think I'm going to have fun with this one because...hehe! The president...
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF A COUNTRY WITH MORE ARMS THAN NIGERIA DECIDES TO INVADE IT?
Okay. Firstly, the chances of Nigeria attracting the attention of a country with more intelligence and nuclear weapons is slim to none but this question is relevant. I do know I'd panic. I mean where I am, I've been safe from a lot of the happenings in this country but that may not be the case should a country decide that they want to pulverize us.
What I'd do would be to brainstorm but on what? I'm sure my mind would be thrown into a frenzy! You know, one thing that makes me not like Nigeria happens to be their lack of organization.
HAVE YOU IMAGINED YOUR REACTION TO SUCH AN OCCURRENCE?
Funny enough, I've imagined riots and protests which happened but I was privileged to be away from such scene.
My first reaction would be to pray and then follow the news for updates. The safest place would be on my map and then getting I and my mom there would be the next course of action. Atleast till we can find a reasonable solution.
WOULD YOU JOIN FORCES WITH THE ARMED FORCES AND FIGHT FOR YOUR NATION OR TAKE THE NEXT BUS, PLANE OR BOAT OUT OF THE COUNTRY?
Stay and fight to get myself killed for a Nation that wouldn't appreciate it and leave my mom heartbroken and hopeless? Looooooool.
I shouldn't laugh I know but I can't just imagine myself sticking my neck out for a country that hasn't really impacted my life despite it being my motherland.
I do know my uncles and aunt's would do their possible best to get us out on the next flight and there's no way I'm staying. Yes. Call me a coward but I'm not sitting with a Nation that had no qualms ending the life of it's own citizens. No way! I'm sure those cowards would be on the next flight too after getting first hand information.
HOW DO YOU THINK THE PRESIDENT WOULD REACT TO SUCH A STATE OF EMERGENCY?
Looooooooooooooooool! Please who else is thinking what I'm thinking? If it's the present president I'm sure he'd fake a heart attack and leave. Or better yet, he'd directly threaten the opposing party because that man is plain stupid. Even I, who has zero knowledge on politics can see the effectiveness of his regime. Do you know that there are places law enforcement don't go to because terrorist own that area? And they don't attack not because they are scared but because they know who owns them. SMH!
Look, I'll tell you what I think our beloved (gags) president would do. First he'd try to kiss ass, then proceed in trying to gather the help of other nations. When it doesn't work, he'd send out the "armed forces" and then proceed to leave his country. Infact, the whole houses in the government would be empty.
WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU IMAGINE WOULD BE THE OUTCOME OF OUR NATION?
I'm sorry to say this but unless by some miracle, Nigeria would be gone. I don't think the sense to equip their Nation has gotten to their head yet. I mean, the terrorist and bandits in here have more sophisticated ammunition. What more a whole country?
I'm sorry but I don't see any hope for Nigeria then. Wow. Nothing but dust and ashes.

Nigeria could've taken the advantage of vast ocean areas connecting other promising countries. I used to work with a Nigerian company, Diaplous (renamed to Doric recently) and learned how booming the cargo business is.

Lolz, you have really spoken the real truth about Nigeria. A country without a future, I respect your opinion and I pray it doesn't happen.
The country would be wiped out at one strike, I can guarantee that if attacked by a country with well organised armies.
Standing to protect my family would be my biggest option and if I fall, so help me God.
I don't like my opinion to be honest. The fact that Nigeria doesn't have any forge ahead plan is concerning. What would become of us in 10 or 15 years? Would we still be buried in debts? Mahn. I just can't give myself a headache thinking about it.
It is really heartbreaking to know that nothing about the future is clear.
Praying for Nigeria is a waste of time now, I tell people to work more on themselves now.
