Día de exámenes pre operatorios. | Pre-operative exam day.

Feliz noche amigos por aquí vamos con días buenos y otros no tantos, la cita con la neurologa nos fue bastante bien aunque debemos volver el jueves para que la doctora le haga un nuevo chequeo físico a mi mamá, el día de hoy fuimos a la cruz roja a hacer unos exámenes que pidió el neumonologo, en esta oportunidad íbamos por un perfil pre operatorio, y un examen que se llama espirometría. Nos levantamos temprano y nos arreglamos ya que unas tía nos buscaría en la casa.

Good evening, friends. We've had some good days and some not so good. The appointment with the neurologist went quite well, although we have to go back on Thursday for another physical exam for my mom. Today we went to the Red Cross to get some tests done that the pulmonologist ordered. This time we were there for a pre-operative profile and a test called spirometry. We got up early and got ready because an aunt was going to pick us up at home.

Mi tía nos busco y mi mamá dijo que no se sentía bien que estaba un poco mareada. Salimos de casa y ella no había desayunado ya que debía ir en ayunas para unos exámenes de sangre, en el camino a la cruz roja nos tuvimos que detener en el camino ya que ella dijo que estaba muy mareada y se vómito.

My aunt picked us up, and my mom said she wasn't feeling well, that she was a little dizzy. We left the house, and she hadn't had breakfast because she had to fast for some blood tests. On the way to the Red Cross, we had to stop because she said she was very dizzy and vomited.

Llegamos a la cruz roja y lo primero que hicimos es pagar los exámenes de sangre que serían los primeros que le iban a hacer y es que queríamos hacer estos exámenes primero para que luego mi mamá pudiera desayunar.

We arrived at the Red Cross and the first thing we did was pay for the blood tests, which would be the first ones they were going to do on her. We wanted to do these tests first so that my mom could have breakfast later.

Normalmente es muy complicado sacarle la sangre ya que no le encuentran las venas fácilmente, pero está enfermera pudo sacarle la sangre fácilmente, luego de esto volvimos a la sala de espera pues necesitamos que ella se sintiera mejor para poder hacer el otro examen que solicito el doctor.

It's usually very difficult to draw blood from her because they can't easily find her veins, but this nurse was able to draw the blood easily. After this, we went back to the waiting room because we needed her to feel better in order to do the other test that the doctor requested.

En la cruz roja nos encontramos con la tía de mi mejor amiga que está en procesos para también ser operada en el hospital. Ella también iba por el examen de la espirometría. Está fue la primera vez que escuché este examen y este se trata de hacer un examen de inhalar que probará que tan bien está la función pulmonar.

At the Red Cross, we ran into my best friend's aunt, who was also in the process of having surgery at the hospital. She was also there for a spirometry test. This was the first time I'd heard of this test, and it involves inhaling to test how well your lung function is.

Le tomaron la tensión a mi mamá y la tenía baja, como se vomito y no se sentía bien, en la cruz roja me informaron que no podría realizar el examen de la espirometría. Así que nos debíamos ir a casa.

They took my mom's blood pressure and it was low. Since she vomited and wasn't feeling well, the Red Cross told me she couldn't have the spirometry test. So we had to go home.

Antes de irnos a casa pasamos por la farmacia y es que necesitábamos pañales, toallitas húmedas y algunas medicinas para ella y para mí, ya que estos últimos días he tenido mucho dolor de cabeza.

Before going home we stopped by the pharmacy because we needed diapers, baby wipes and some medicine for her and me, since I've had a lot of headaches these last few days.
