A testimony of happiness through my lens / Un testimonio de felicidad a través de mi lente

Greetings to all my friends at Photography Lovers. I want to apologize for my absence lately, as I have been quite busy with some online programming courses. However, today I decided to take some time to share with you some photos I took for my friend on her wedding day.

As you know, I am passionate about street photography, but my friends and family always insist that I take photos for them at their events. This makes me nervous, I'm not a professional photographer, plus I love to capture moments that motivate me, not staged scenes. There is something inside me that tells me what the moment is. Nevertheless, I try to do my best trying to capture special moments. But I admit that I get very anxious, I try to stop through my camera what excites me and I worry that I won't provoke the same in others.

Saludos a todos mis amigos de Photography Lovers. Quiero disculparme por mi ausencia últimamente, ya que he estado bastante ocupado con algunos cursos de programación online. Sin embargo, hoy he decidido tomarme un tiempo para compartir con vosotros algunas fotos que hice para mi amiga el día de su boda.

Como sabéis, soy apasionado de la fotografía callejera, pero mis amigos y familiares siempre insisten en que les haga fotos en sus eventos. Esto me pone nervioso, no soy fotógrafo profesional, además me encanta captar momentos que me motiven, no escenas montadas. Hay algo dentro de mí que me dice cuál es el momento. No obstante, intento hacerlo lo mejor posible tratando de captar instantes especiales. Pero admito que me pongo muy ansioso, intento detener a través de mi cámara lo que me emocionan y me preocupa no provocar lo mismo en los demás.

My friend Mimi, as I affectionately call her, wanted me to be the one to take the photos of her wedding with Javi, as she didn't want something too serious or conventional. She was looking for someone who would not only capture the event, but who would be able to reflect her immense happiness. I was very honored by her request, although it was also a big commitment, as I explained to her earlier.

Finally, I convinced her to hire a professional photographer for the indoor, more formal photos, and I would take care of the outdoor ones, which we would do in Havana's beautiful Prado, to feel more confident in my role.

Mi amiga Mimi, como la llamo cariñosamente, quería que fuera yo quien hiciera las fotos de su boda con Javi, ya que no quería algo demasiado serio o convencional. Buscaba a alguien que no sólo captara el acontecimiento, sino que fuera capaz de reflejar su inmensa felicidad. Me sentí muy honrado por su petición, aunque también era un gran compromiso, como le expliqué antes.

Finalmente, la convencí de contratar a un fotógrafo profesional para las fotos de interior, más formales, y yo me encargaría de las de exterior, que haríamos en el precioso Prado de La Habana, para sentirme más seguro en mi papel.

Here you have a sample of the pictures I took, as you can see I took many more of her than of the groom, actually I was won over by feelings of friendship haha. She was so radiant and full of happiness, she stole all my attention, I haven't been to many events of this kind, but I haven't seen a happier bride in my life.

I loved the end result, especially when I saw my friend's big smile when I saw the pictures. She always smiles so beautifully, like she is savoring the world. It makes me so excited to see her so happy and to know that I was able to capture that special moment for her. I hope you enjoy these photos. Greetings to all of you.

Aquí tienen una muestra de las fotos que tomé, como pueden ver tomé muchas más de ella que del novio, en realidad me ganaron los sentimientos de amistad jaja. Estaba tan radiante y llena de felicidad, se robó toda mi atención, no he estado en muchos eventos de este tipo, pero no he visto una novia más feliz en mi vida.

Me encantó el resultado final, sobre todo cuando vi la gran sonrisa de mi amiga al ver las fotos. Ella siempre sonríe de una forma tan bonita, como si estuviera saboreando el mundo. Me emociona mucho verla tan feliz y saber que pude capturar ese momento tan especial para ella. Espero que disfruten de estas fotos. Un saludo a todos.
