hi dear hivers! this animation is inspired by Greek mythology.
I took the aesthetics from black and orange classic amphorae figures from Greek art.

In this drawing I want to depict the myth of Narcissus. In Greek Mythology, Narcissus was the most beautiful of young men in ancient Greece. He was so in love with himself, that when he saw his own reflex in the water of a lake, he threw himself into the water and he drowned.
This myth told us the risk of the egocentrism and being too much obsessed with beauty, and this is the origin of the term "Narcissism".
We have the tale and the style, let's start the drawing! I'm in adobe Illustrator using the pencil too drawing the face with the mouse.

En este dibujo quiero representar el mito de Narciso. En la mitología griega, Narciso era el más hermoso de los jóvenes de la antigua Grecia. Estaba tan enamorado de sí mismo, que cuando vio su propio reflejo en el agua de un lago, se tiró al agua y se ahogó.
Este mito nos contaba el riesgo del egocentrismo y la obsesión excesiva por la belleza, y de ahí surge el término "Narcisismo".
Tenemos el cuento y el estilo, ¡comencemos a dibujar! Estoy en adobe Illustrator usando el lápiz también dibujando la cara con el mouse.

Now I will draw the hair in different layers, so I will add some motion there later.

Ahora dibujaré el cabello en diferentes capas, así que agregaré algo de movimiento allí más tarde.

And then I drew the rest of the bust. The green area in the eye will be cut for placing the pupil inside it. The black area will be the water.

Y luego dibujé el resto del busto. Se cortará la zona verde del ojo para colocar la pupila en su interior. La zona negra será el agua.

Now I'm in Photoshop adding some texture brushes.

Ahora estoy en Photoshop agregando algunos pinceles de textura.

Now I'm doing the animation in After Effects! I duplicated the figure to create the reflex.
